Tour 18 Dallas
About
Tour 18 Dallas is an ingenious compilation of the greatest golf holes in the nation, giving golfers the chance to play replica holes from 16 top courses. This one is tough -- not only because of the challenging and lengthy choice of holes that went into the design -- but especially because of the lightning-fast greens and challenging pin placements. While the conditions are probably accurate in terms of what the pros face each week, it can be quite humbling to shoot 15 strokes over your handicap because of 4- and 5-putts. The most recognizable holes at Tour 18 Dallas are the Augusta National Amen Corner replicas, which make up the final three-hole stretch.

Meh
First time Playing tour 18 in Dallas, had played in Houston many, many years ago. The staff in the pro shop was very helpful and extremely friendly. Other than Oakmont, Crooked Stick and Pine Valley the rest of the holes or lackluster at best. Very deceiving with the beautiful homes and elevation changes that this place was in such disrepair, This could be a really nice track with a little bit of love
Great course
Super long course
Replica course so you will see your famous holes
From what I recall there were only 2 par 3’s
Fairways kept, sand was soft and clean, greens were just superb will definitely play here again
So much potential
This course has so much potential to be an amazing golf experience. Driving in to a gated community and seeing the beautiful houses, you expect to play an immaculate course. The clubhouse was very nice and staff was attentive and friendly. The grounds are a little lackluster. The course itself is nice and has a great layout but the conditions are not up to par for DFW. Greens are very slow, bunkers are an absolute wreck, fairways are a little tall, and too many dead spots around the course to give 5 stars. The course itself feels worn down and needs someone to come in and really take care of it. Definitely recommend playing if you have never played just for the experience of playing some great holes. Would not go back for a second round though.
Overall the course was in good shape. I had a family member from out of town in to play. We enjoyed the round. . I have seen the course in better shape when it was in it’s prime years back, but it was much better than what some of the previous reviews had stated. I would say it was a solid 8.5 out of 10..
Good experience
I enjoyed my first ever Round at Tour 18 Dallas. The course was in great shape. The greens were smooth but not too fast. The only downside was the heat and humidity on this day. I’ll have to come back in the fall.
Tour 18 - Such Great Potential!
Course still needs a lot of work. Greens were bumpy and slow. Sand traps need attention. Fairways very spotty. Even with the condition issues, Tour 18 is one of my favorite courses to play due to the course layout. It is just a fun course. I only wish it could be revitalized to its glory days...
Should be better
I keep wanting this course to live up to the million dollar homes that surround the course-but it just can't...While the layout is special given it a TOUR 18 course, it plays like a muni that is run on nickels...Fairways were very nice, but greens were bad. I understand need to punch but even after a few weeks they remained sandy and bumpy-which seems to be most of the times I venture out there to play. Traps are gone and they have given up on them save 16,17 and 18....Course needs care to live up to image. I wish it would as it has the potential to be a top public where people would be willing to pay a bit more. But NOT in the condition it is in. Beverage pricing too high as well....
Punched greens
Punched greens. Fun lay out with famous holes, but no chance to make any putts. Not worth the money. 5 1/2 hour pace.
Well maintained
I played this course in 2013 and it was in horrible shape. Now it is spectacular! Greens are perfect. The traps were a little wet due to all the rain, so I’m not sure how they would play after the dry out. The greens were a little soggy early in the morning but then dried out and were fast and perfect.
Fun time at Tour 18
Unfortunately I had the Tour 18 in Houston to compare to, and frankly the one in Houston is in better shape. With that being said, the hole selection here is great and I really enjoyed the layout. The fairways and rough were in great lush shape. The bunkers were an absolute disaster, including on two of the three holes on Amen Corner (the whole reason you play here!). The greens were in solid shape for the most part. A tad slow and fuzzy but that’s ok. I would play here again.
Course was okay for online rate we paid $40
Some burned fairways and greens but overall a fun time playing.
Pleasantly Surprised
I was a little hesitant to play based on some recent negative comments about course conditions and my experience the last time I played here. I am happy to report that the course was in very good shape, with the tee boxes, fairways, and greens all like you would hope for in a higher end public course. The layout is still fun with many famous and scenic holes. And after birdies on the Sawgrass #17 and Augusta #12 holes, I will never watch The Players Championship or the Masters again without thinking about the shots I hit on those holes.
Should be better for its location
I was looking forward to experiencing PGA-type holes but felt a little cheated. The replication of holes was a great idea, but feel they stopped trying to keep it up to par. The course is in a gated community with homes, I am pretty sure, priced easily over $1M. The course, on the other hand, did not live up the expected hype. There were dry patchy areas throughout course, as well as as dry hard bunkers.
I only recommend playing the course at a great GolfNow rate but would never pay the regular price.
Great day!
Very nice course and los of trees for shade now that we are into the warmer months in Texas.
needs to regain glory
I played this course almost 20 years ago when first opened- It was Great... Now it's still same course but they really need to get the conditioning back. I would now say their conditioning is on same par with any municipal golf course- And costs a lot more
