Bridlewood Golf Club
About
Designed by D.A. Weibring, Bridlewood Golf Course features a spectacular combination of links-style and traditional features as it snakes its way through the flat farmlands and terrain that seem to be specifically created for golf.
The front nine isn’t as rugged as the back, and its first few holes feel more residential than the rest of the course. Two holes stand out. No. 8 is all carry over water at 195 yards, followed by the monster -- a par 4 that demands one heck of a tee shot to avoid the water left and out-of-bounds right in finding the skinny fairway. Next comes a long, long approach that will have you begging for a bogey.

Very nice!!!!
This was our first time to play this course. It was beautiful. The fairways and greens were in great shape for this time of year. Staff was very friendly. We will definitely be back.
Fun little course, liked the layout.
It was my first time to play the course. The blue tees played pretty short. A lot of driver, wedge into greens. Great par 3 holes.
Very nice semi-private course
Staff was very accommodating in helping us get our round in on a rainy day. Sent us off the back-nine an hour ahead of our tee time to avoid following a tournament. Made sure we didn't wait to tee off on one since we had come off the back nine. Was putting bags in our vehicle just as the rain and pea-sized hail started. GREAT DAY.
Fun and Challenging
Once the hail storm past it was a great day. The course overall was in very good condition. The tee boxes, sand and fairways were in excellent condition. The greens were smooth but mostly hard but the starter warned us of this and we adjusted accordingly. Overall a good experience and would play it again.
Overbooked! Unfriendly staff
I would not come back took 3 hours to finish back nine. Their were 3 groups per hole on the whole back. I called clubhouse and they refused to give me a rain check or send a danger to speed up play. I will not be coming back!
The greens were being aerated and treated with chemicals, then spray painted.
Im just going to start at the beginning and work my way through. The clubhouse was beautiful and the staff very helpful and friendly. The carts were clean and near the clubhouse and ready to go. The driving range was very full/busy but lucky enough to find a spot. Would have liked to have yardages to flags on range but not a huge negative. We started on time and was told a 5-some was in front but was told to let players through. Once we caught them they did let us pass which was very helpful because they were playing slow to begin with. The tee boxes were well maintained and easy to identify the markers. All boxes had signs with yardage and overhead of the hole, which is always nice. the fairways were well kept as were the bunkers. The issue I had with the course was the greens. The greens had been recently aerated, treated and painted which is understandable. However, on a very windy day, the greens were unapproachable and it would have been nice to have been told this at some point. It just made it impossible to keep the ball on the green, putts ran for miles due to the hardness of the greens. They were painted and seemed to have been rolled because there was no fluff to them at all. My last point, and this is purely personal, is that the entire course is lined with houses. I really don't like those courses at all. I believe it takes away from the aesthetic look of a course and not what I want to look at while playing golf. Again, that's a personal opinion of any course. Overall the course itself was nice but at this time of year and with the greens the way they were definitely not worth the regular green fee but on this website with a twilight fee of $50, it was ok.
Great time/deal for Bridlewood
Found a deal for 20$ for a 745 tee time on golfnow. They had just aerated/vented the greens, but could hardly tell. On the 2nd hole, the Marshall caught up to us and gave us a voucher to play there again for just a cart fee to help make up for their course maintenance. The course was in awesome shape for early spring. Most of the tee boxes were kept nice and manicured. The fairways were well taken care of and most divots had been replaced by sand. The greens got faster as they dried out, but still rolled true. Landing in a green side bunker wasn't as bad as other courses because of the real sand that's in them. This ranks as one of the top courses I have played in the dfw area and will definitely come back!
This course was tremendous!
I wanted to play a peaceful round of golf and Bridlewood was the perfect course. The scenery was great and holes were in great condition, even for the winter season. My cousin and I aren't the best golfers but we could still appreciate the great golf day here. The greens were amazing considering the harsh winter conditions. The were fast and consistent, comparable to PGA greens (so I expect). If you are looking to experience a new course outside of your home course this, I would highly recommend this course.
Course is fairly forgiving
Course was in good shape, the greens were like putting on glass. Fairways were fairly wide open so that you could get away with spraying the ball.
Greens were in great shape, very quick but a true roll each putt.
Good shape for early March and a good solid test on each approach shot. Enjoyable round of golf and would definitely recommend to play this course.
The golfnow.com rate of $49 was a steal for this course. It normally plays for $80 however I would never pay that much in the offseason.
I've played this course 2X before and it was in peak season so it's tough to compare. The greens have changes and definately added strokes to my score due to lightning speed. Tought to hold shots on these greens today and the wind gusts didn't help either.
I would wait till the course grows in more during the spring and summer before playing again.
Well kept course with GREAT staff
This course is much more than what you can see. Challenging course and in great condition. Staff is VERY friendly!
Great round of golf
Great weekend twilight round of golf during the off season (early Feb). Course has a great layout and was fairly well maintained considering it was winter. It was a beautiful day so play was a bit slow, but that was to be expected.
Playing from the tips You have to manage the course or it will bite You
overall a good course to play
Playing from the tips You have to manage the course or it will bite You, long par 4's that are not always a driver hole
I do ?? how some of the holes are handicapped
Great course but over priced
If you can snag a hot deal on this then it's definitely worth it. The best part about bridlewood are the greens. In 2012 they redid them and it took a while for them to mature. They are in pretty good shape now tho. Layout is pretty fun. There is a variety of long and short holes. 3 out of the 4 par 5s are reachable with good drives. Hole 9 might as well be a par 5 too. With thick trees on the right and water all down the left, it's probably the toughest hole on the course!
Very fast greens
The course was in good shape. It played well for being under 40 degrees. The greens are firm and fast and the pins were safe for the pace of the green
This is a great course!
The staff here are wonderful. Gives you the feeling you are playing a country club. The carts were pristine, the tee boxes were nice, the fairways were in great shape and the greens rolled true. One of the nicest courses open to the public in DFW.
Greens are best in Dallas area
Course is very well maintained. This is now my favorite course
Greens were excellent and rolling at 12.5 on the stimp! Fun and challenging
All was good, Saw cart girl often, range was good, friendly staff, met new friends as a twosome joined us, greens were super fast 12.5 which was a great chnage from previous outings there!
Enjoyable experience!!
Staff informed us they just installed new greens. Starter told us they were rolling at a 12. They were very quick but the practice green was the same. A little disappointed about how hard it was to hit a green and hold a shot on. I will play again soon.
