Bridlewood Golf Club
About
Designed by D.A. Weibring, Bridlewood Golf Course features a spectacular combination of links-style and traditional features as it snakes its way through the flat farmlands and terrain that seem to be specifically created for golf.
The front nine isn’t as rugged as the back, and its first few holes feel more residential than the rest of the course. Two holes stand out. No. 8 is all carry over water at 195 yards, followed by the monster -- a par 4 that demands one heck of a tee shot to avoid the water left and out-of-bounds right in finding the skinny fairway. Next comes a long, long approach that will have you begging for a bogey.

Deceptive pricing policy
We arrived at the course at 7:00 AM planning on playing 18 holes. We were informed that the $39 rate (approximately half the regular of $85) was for nine holes only. We would not have booked the course had we know it was for only nine holes. The desk person taking our money said that we should have read the FINE print. The marshal on the first hole told us about 50% of the people don't know the rate is for nine holes only. Their special is a VERY DECEPTIVE POLICY.
Great course
Excellent condition and great place to play. Country club like layout.
Excellently maintained. Great layout.
Staff wasn't very friendly or helpful. Course was in excellent shape. Greens were lightning fast and hard to hold.
Loved the early bird breakfast special.
Course was in great condition and beautiful. Looking forward to playing there again. One of my best rounds.
Great Golf Course
This golf course offers a beautiful setting, and a challenging course. I just moved to the DFW area and I believe I have found my course .
Played at Bridlewood to celebrate my birthday
This was the perfect course to play a celebratory round of golf. We had an 8:52 am tee time and arrived early enough for breakfast. To my surprise, the grille served a very good breakfast. It didn't hurt that they had a great bar and restaurant area. The course was in excellent condition and reminded us of a more tropical, green lush location. There was enough sand and water to make it interesting. The greens were fast and challenging with undulating movement. I did get a couple of GREAT putts in though. As we approached the 9th we called in for lunch and it was ready when we got there. Great food and more than filled us up. Love that the beverage cart is a full bar. Have a Bloody Mary if you are there early...or any time of the day!
Turned away
I signed up the $29 breakfast deal which did not state only nine holes which really hacked me off to get up at 5:30am to play only to show up and get told it was misprint
I won't go back to Bridlewood they could of honored it since they knew I wasn't the only one confused other golfers had done the same thing
Nice course, friendly staff, terrible golf carts
Course is wide open, player friendly, and well maintained. I played on a weekday afternoon, and pace wasn't too big of a problem but on a busier day I could imagine it would get backed up because on a few holes the pairing ahead of me was waiting when I approached. The starter was very friendly and kicked off the round in good spirits. I can't believe I am writing this but the golf carts made the day difficult. Had to switch after nine because the first golf cart died. Got in the second and had to figure out after not moving on several occasions, that I had to hold the gas just in the right position to move. Even worse the brakes were sooooooo touchy all around the course the screech of carts stopping could be herd, and if I was a bit older do not think my neck could have handled it. Got a good deal of Golf now, but did not think it was worth the standard green fees.
One of the best courses I have played in the DFW area.
The staff was very friendly and the practice facility very nice. The course was outstanding! From the fairways to the greens, the course was almost perfect. The greens are fast and roll true. A true pleasure to play.
Fabulous course
The $85 green fee is worth it for this course. I play it 2 or 3 times a year and enjoy it every time. The greens happen to be in spectacular condition, very firm and quick. The fairways are generous, but still require some accuracy. You can't find a better value in the DFW area.
One of the best public courses in DFW
I got a deal for on Golfnow for 29.00 after 5pm on the weekend. At this price the course is an excellent value.
Pros:
- Very courteous staff
- Pristine fairways, greens and tee boxes
- Excellent layout
Cons:
- None
This course has it all and I was very impressed by the condition of every thing.
Not worth the price...
I had heard from a few other golfers that this was a good course but the layout (boring) and conditioning of the bunkers (poor) was well below the pricing. I purchased a early time and our group was third off the first tee just before 7:00. We buzzed around the front side but hit a wall on the 11th hole. We waited and waited and waited on every shot all the way in. We found out (from the players assistant) that the pro shop had sent numerous groups off the 10th tee and these golfers had the back nine crawling. Yes, I get it. They want to generate as much profit as possible but my experience went from marginal to yet another one and done. I will never go back.
Bridlewood 4th of July weekend
Overall very good course, and well maintained. Cart girls were awesome, and I really enjoyed playing this course.
This is a well designed course with great ambience and a courteous staff.
I would highly recommend Bridlewood to folders in the DFW area.
Fun Outing
If you have not played Bridlewood recently, then you owe it to yourself to get out early and play the course. Greens were fast but true. Fairways were in great shape and outside of the funky #13 this course is just a blast to play. Open enough to forgive mistakes, but definitely rewards taking risks. One of my favorite courses in the Metro, especially when it is listed on GolfNow.
Bridlewood Golf Course
Great course conditions. Great layout of holes.
Will be back soon.
Great staff and fairways. Greens need some work.
A really nice track. The course plays a little easier than I expected. The staff was exceptionally friendly and service oriented. The fairways were outstanding. The greens need some work before I will play there again. There was fungus/disease on parts of some greens which left very thin turf in places. The greens had been aerated in the recent past and still showed the effects. Greens appeared to be relatively new as they were a bit hard and not as receptive to approach shots as you would expect. They had a nice outdoor grill at the turn for a quick sandwich. Choose the burger over the chicken sandwich as the chicken was rubbery. Their published price is too high for what they deliver. It is a $60 course not an $85 course.
Great surroundings
This is a great course inside the nice community. There are some challenging holes. I will take some friends to play there soon.
Did not even get to play
Pre-paid for the round. Showed up 45 minutes early, checked in and hit a bucket of balls. Checked in with the starter 15 minutes prior to my tee time. The starter sent someone else out in my place. They wanted me to go by myself on a Saturday morning in the middle of a full golf course. Could not even get my money back because I pre-paid. Just a horrible experience!!!
