The Golf Club At Fossil Creek

This is my favorite course locally as I live in NRH...Play here 3-5 times a month. Have been patient this month given the freeze, but am very concerned with the lack of progress on the greens. Played the 12th and 1,2 and 8 greens were almost gone-with others some troubling "scars"...!!! Courses nearby have greens that are rounding into prime shape, so wonder why??? Let's get Fossil back to the top course in the area......

Too many holes that driver not used for first shot, even par 5s. Sand traps need maintenance. Some greens have inadequate grass. But overall good course with challenging holes.

Beautiful course just under a lot of renovations currently. Greens were not in good shape.

Started at 2:50PM quit playing on hole 13 at 7:30PM. No Marshall to manage course. Played with a 4 some and watched two groups of 8 play in front of us all day. I would not recommend playing here.

I love the course, but this time I thought I was at the beach. There was so much sand on the greens there was no way to putt. I know you have to sand the greens after you punch them but this was nuts.

I won't be back until I know that the beaches are gone

I play Fossil Creek a few times every year and it is still one of my favorites in the DFW area due to the variety of holes, the challenge of the creeks and lakes which run through the course, the need to shape shots in every direction, and the mixture of short and long holes that require more than just bomb and gouge. Since we're just coming out of winter the course conditions are less than ideal with some greens showing small to large repair areas, the bunkers being marginal at best, tee boxes being marginal, and the fairways needing more grass but you can't get what you can't grow until summer. One of the few times I've played here in a north wind and it was a completely different experience but a good challenge. Worth the play in my opinion just because there's so much that is natural about this course instead of the bulldozed, manufactured tracts that inhabit much of DFW.

Arnold Palmer would be embarrassed to have his name associated with this golf course. It is a fun layout and has some challenging holes, but not worth the green fees. The pro shop has very limited merchandise. The women’s rest rooms were under construction and had partial walls. The driving range had no grass and seemed to be overused. The starter was rude and bossy. The course itself is in awful condition. There is no grass in the fairways and the greens are horrible. Oh and did I mention our cart that we thought was going to fall apart at any minute. Also the pace of play was terrible. This course needs a complete overhaul. DO NIT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!

I thought course was okay. Still coming out of winter conditions so not great. Grass was not great and ground was hard. It did let my ball go far though! Pace of play was okay but we did have to wait at most holes. The greens were very fast. I might play it again but probably not be might first choice. Maybe if I get a discount.
