About
Thankfully Fredericksburg offers this facility as a respite from incessant turista shopping along the main drag. While not overly fancy, this little Hill Country course gets the job done while the shoppers in the family spend their days in town.
The Jeffery D. Blume-designed track plays around 6,700 yards from the tips and includes plenty of trees and water hazards that get in the way.
You’ll notice the two par 5s on the front. No. 3 is the signature, playing 523 yards and forcing a shot over a creek, and another over a bluff. No. 5 is longer, a testy 578 yards from the back.
The most difficult rated hole is the No. 9, a 425-yard par 4, but the regulars complain more about the challenging 18th, an even longer par 4 that plays 450 yards from the tips.
Getting there : The course is just south of town on the west side of the highway.

Lady Bird brought the fun
Great holes in great condition. Lots of variety that made each hole feel different. My group had a blast and thought it was worth the price and drive as it was about 1 hour away from where we lived. The only negative thing I could say is we got lost finding our tees on two holes especially on hole (7) we shot from the wrong spot and found the tees on the next hole. If you like a challenge to hit over water this does give some interesting holes for it. Overall amazing course and we would play again.
Best Public Course in the Area
This course is very playable and enjoyable. Tees in good shape for February. Greens were a little bumpy but still rolled fairly well. Elevated greens create a challenge for your irons.

Second time to play this course. The greens were very inconsistent but other than that it’s a wonderful course.
First Experience
Good course layout and good condition considering time of year. Grass is dormant.
I would look forward to playing the course in the spring summer or early fall.
It's a long drive to get there but worth it!
For being in a drought the course was in great shape and you definitely get that small town country feel.
Need drinking water
Need to have drinking water available on the course. Never saw a beverage cart either.
A slightly above average course
Overall, very average course. Fairways were not mowed, surprising during the height of a beautiful weekend. Greens were great condition, and layout was both challenging and unique. Nice facilities, no water coolers available on course.
Fun course. Overpriced
The day I played was the day they punched the greens on the front nine so I only got to play the back nine twice. Understandable but a bit of a bummer that I didn’t know that beforehand. I would not have played their for the price I paid had I known. It was a fun course. I would like to play all of it sometime for less than what I paid for.
