About
Thankfully Fredericksburg offers this facility as a respite from incessant turista shopping along the main drag. While not overly fancy, this little Hill Country course gets the job done while the shoppers in the family spend their days in town.
The Jeffery D. Blume-designed track plays around 6,700 yards from the tips and includes plenty of trees and water hazards that get in the way.
You’ll notice the two par 5s on the front. No. 3 is the signature, playing 523 yards and forcing a shot over a creek, and another over a bluff. No. 5 is longer, a testy 578 yards from the back.
The most difficult rated hole is the No. 9, a 425-yard par 4, but the regulars complain more about the challenging 18th, an even longer par 4 that plays 450 yards from the tips.
Getting there : The course is just south of town on the west side of the highway.

Return to Lady Bird
The course was in drought conditions and the weather a large factor in the difficulty of play. It was quite windy at the same time. The amenities were excellent and quite enjoyable. The GPS units on the cart we’re quite helpful.
This course is a good value and nice trek!
I was in Fredericksburg for a few days looking to play 18 nearby for a reasonable number. Lady Bird was perfect. Price was right, close by and within my budget. All things considered the course was in good shape. Greens rolled pretty true at average speeds. Sand appeared to be new and played well! I would recommend this course! It played tough for a 122 slope from the blue tees into a nasty wind. Most tee shots had large landing zones. The GPS units in the cart were really handy and easy to use!!

Great course, we’ll designed, greens in great shape, just a little to windy for me.Would definitely play again when in the area.

Great Public Course
Really enjoyed playing this course, Better than your average municipal course. Well maintained, great mix of sand traps & water, several challenging holes. Newly renovated club house. Nothing bad to say about this course, will play again.

Well maintained course, great layout. Plenty of water and sand to keep it interesting. Really enjoyed playing this course. Clubhouse recently renovated, excellent condition. Highly recommend.
Nice course
Really enjoyed our round here pace of play was excellent greens were in great condition. I would say the fairway’s could use a little attention. Understanding it’s November in south Texas however they could use to be aerated early on or over seeded as they are like hitting balls from the pavement. There was no water available on the course or a beverage cart.. Would recommend to anyone though would suggest possibly spring or summer for better fairway conditions.
Good course
We didn’t know what to expect, but overall enjoyed course. Course was In pretty good condition and just felt like a small town course. (Which is good)
Friendly Golfers Layout
Very open fairways. Greens were great, fast and true. Enjoyed it very much. First time playing and will be back.
