About
Thankfully Fredericksburg offers this facility as a respite from incessant turista shopping along the main drag. While not overly fancy, this little Hill Country course gets the job done while the shoppers in the family spend their days in town.
The Jeffery D. Blume-designed track plays around 6,700 yards from the tips and includes plenty of trees and water hazards that get in the way.
You’ll notice the two par 5s on the front. No. 3 is the signature, playing 523 yards and forcing a shot over a creek, and another over a bluff. No. 5 is longer, a testy 578 yards from the back.
The most difficult rated hole is the No. 9, a 425-yard par 4, but the regulars complain more about the challenging 18th, an even longer par 4 that plays 450 yards from the tips.
Getting there : The course is just south of town on the west side of the highway.

Great staff and course
Staff was very friendly. The course was in good shape. I’ll be playing it again.
Great course great service
Overall course is not bad. Good layout and plenty of challenging shots. Have a great drivable par 4 and a lot of fun holes. It was CPO the day I played but still enjoyed the round. Greens were a bit slow but playable.
Greens were in rough shape
I like this course, it’s a fun layout. A few short par 4s, two tough par 5s and three really good par 3s. BUT the greens are not in good shape at all, large dead spots on almost every green. More expensive than Scott Schreiner in Kerrville and definitely not as good. Overall this course isn’t bad, but it isn’t good either. It’ll check the boxes for a fun round but course snobs won’t be happy.
We got off at 7:15am, so the pace was great (3 hours). Liked the layout. Some greens were bare in spots, but overall very puttable. Will play this course again.
Great Time!!!!
I value was definitely worth the trip but more importantly I was greeted by a very friendly pro shop attendant. The snack bar cook was extremely generous and polite. The other players were friendly and pace of play was Excellent. The entire day was Outstanding and will definitely make the drive again soon!!!
Nice course!
Staff was nice and attentive to us when we arrived, No beverage cart but staff was quick to help us on the turn in the bar area. Course was hurt from the freeze but is bouncing back and should be very nice in another month or two. Enjoyed the course layout!!
Beautiful views
The course was in great Shape for a municipal course- we played twosome and other players let us play thru - so it made for a fast round
