About
Thankfully Fredericksburg offers this facility as a respite from incessant turista shopping along the main drag. While not overly fancy, this little Hill Country course gets the job done while the shoppers in the family spend their days in town.
The Jeffery D. Blume-designed track plays around 6,700 yards from the tips and includes plenty of trees and water hazards that get in the way.
You’ll notice the two par 5s on the front. No. 3 is the signature, playing 523 yards and forcing a shot over a creek, and another over a bluff. No. 5 is longer, a testy 578 yards from the back.
The most difficult rated hole is the No. 9, a 425-yard par 4, but the regulars complain more about the challenging 18th, an even longer par 4 that plays 450 yards from the tips.
Getting there : The course is just south of town on the west side of the highway.

Great test of Golf
Course was in great condition and we scored the PERFECT weather! Greens putted well and punished you when you missed them.
Some blind tee shots mixed in with great par 3's. A really nice place to play and tests your ability at any handicap.
I look forward to returning.
Great Course
I couldn’t be more pleased with my experience at lady bird. The staff was very friendly. Fairways and tee box’s were great. The greens were smooth and very fast (I like fast greens). The layout was great for being a little short. Great for beginners and more experienced players. Golf carts had Bluetooth so you could connect your phone and play music. I wrote this review in car right after the round. About an hour from San Antonio. Will definitely be returning!

Love my hometown course. The weather was perfect. Always have so much fun out here.
First Covid Outing
We've played this course before and really enjoyed our day. The course is well maintained. The golf shop and personnel are great. There is a grill for food to go as well as a social distance indoor and outdoor space. All equipment is well taken care of. We felt welcomed and well taken care of. The Hill Cournty views while playing are an added attraction.
Great course!
First time playing LBJ golf course and I loved it! Very quirky course with lots of elevation changes, and some challenging water shots on the back side! Bout an hours drive from San Antonio so I'll definitely play it again when time allows!!

Awesome course! Greens are in immaculate condition and rolled fast. While course in great condition. Was worth the 75 minute drive for me and will do it again.

New favorite. Quite nice, and good pace. Stunning views and well kept course. Nice staff.
Requires course management
I enjoyed playing here. The green were in nice condition for middle of summer. Nice elevation changes. You can’t just bomb it, you need to strategize how you play this course. I look forward to playing it again.

Course was a challenge for me for sure but had a lot of fun. Looking forward to playing and scoring better next time.

Course is in great shape with a lot of “personality “. The carts have GPS to help, it was very helpful for me, my first time to play.
