Lost in Transition
Major renovations throughout Course resulting in compromised Tee pads and blowing dirt adjacent to most Fairways. Light volume of players make pace of play idyllic. Be prepared to play to what you paid.
Terrible front nine
The course was extremely wet, soggy, muddy. Holes 5 and 6 were off limits. There was construction completely around the perimeter of the course for whatever reason we do not know. We got our cart stuck in the mud, we had to get the pro shop to send someone out to help us find hole #7 and barely any of the tee areas had a sign with the hole number on it. They looked to have been removed. The back 9 was much better than the front 9. Not recommended at this time, unless it's free
Great Course Updates coming!
It was a great course to play. Unfortunately 2 holes were closed - renovations are happening.
Only 16 Holes - Not 18
Whispering Ridge is now only 16 holes due to construction going on around the course (may be temporary) but they don’t mention anything on the GolfNow or TeeOff website. Course was super wet - almost unplayable! Carts were very dirty and don’t have USB’s.
They claim that the rate is lower because they only have 16 holes available for play but with the course in such poor condition it still wasn’t worth it.
Lots of water damage but still a nice course ro play on ... will definitely go back when it dries up
Outside of the construction and course conditions had a great time ... used it to practice my short game as the outside of the course was swamplike
Muddy condition, holes 4/5 are under repair and contributes to mud.
Great executive track
tricky holes, target golf, some great par 4's to make you feel like a hero and some daunting par 3's !
Course disrupted by Construction
I was not made aware at time of booking that the course was being impacted by construction of houses. Two holes were completely closed and a third one was shortened to a par 3. The holes that were open were in reasonable shape for the time of year but there was construction all around, noisy, and you had to deal with mud and temporary barriers when moving about the course.
MAJOR CONSTRUCTION!
Worst conditioned course I've played in years. Infrastructure for a future housing development has made Whispering Ridge almost unplayable. Two holes are closed completely, but nothing was mentioned before we started. 16 hole round!? 18 hole price. Traps were a disgrace...didn't appear to have been maintained at all. Greens weren't terrible but tee boxes and fairways were very poor. the marshal was very friendly but he did allow a husband and wife to skip a hole where the construction had closed number 5 and 6 and jump ahead of us to the 8th tee and from then on we had to wait several times before hitting our shots. The back 9 had a groundskeeper trimming grass follow us four 4 consecutive holes. Should have been cutting in reverse order. We hadn't played here in a couple of years and were shocked to see how poor things had gotten. Prepaid on Golfnow a few days earlier but the pro shop and starter didn't seem to have us on their sheet, although they were quite friendly. I just hope the luxury housing development that has started includes a major update of the course as part of the plan. Otherwise I'm afraid there will be some extremely P.O'd new homeowners who purchased in a golf course community only to find that the course is disgraceful. This is the executive course, so hopeful Lakeridge Links, the championship course on the same property, where there is no construction, has much higher maintenance standards.
Definitely recommend
Course is a little confusing because of the construction happening for lakeridge links estates but overall a great course for a decent price
