Tempest Golf Club

Beautiful course. Wish I played the blues but the whites presented a different challenge. Great price point for this course. Will play again.

It is a pretty layout ,,, but

1) Two or three green-side cart paths come too close to the next tee box. An errant tee shot would hit an approaching cart.

2) Some of the tee boxes are too high to be able to see tee box markers from the golf cart.

3) Some of the holes are just funky. Example Hole #6 (par 5, 491 yards from White tees) takes about 20 minutes to play because, on this day at least, it was cart path only. Steep banks next to fairway required long walks to the middle of the fairway and the 2nd shot requires a blind shot towards the green.

Over 1 hour drive from home but worth it. I think it’s one of the best golf course’s if not the best in east texas

Full member one-man scramble tournament. They should have blocked this day from Golf Now, but all they could say was "Golf Now doesn't know about these tournaments." 6.5 hours to play a round watching everyone in front of us hit two shots. I have never heard of a one-man scramble, but maybe I just haven't played enough.

The course was in great shape. Greens are slick and the fairways are cut nice and tight. Other than a 6.5 hour round, it was a pretty good day.

Nice course very tough from the back tees. If you like a challenge the you must play this course!

Our organization hosted a golf tournament at Tempest Golf Club and our experience was remarkable. Randy and his staff were absolutely wonderful to work with and had the course in amazing condition as well as all the amenities that go with such an event. We had 35 teams play in a 4-person scramble and everything was seamless. The meal following the tournament was outstanding as well. I cannot compliment the staff and the course enough! Fantastic experience!

We had a great time and loved the course. The grass was still not completely grown in, but in good shape. We ate afterwards and the food was good and good service.

You don’t feel you are in East Texas. Lots of different elevations. A must play and great wraps in the grill.

Arrived one hour prior to tee time. No available carts. Told to check back in approx. 30 minutes Groups backed up due to a college team event. Communicating we might be delayed teeing off. Poor planning on the courses part. The sad part is management sat in his office and seemed to not care.

We were shuttled to the range and then someone came to the range within approx. ten minutes communicating we would have to go off the back nine immediately or be delayed. Had to find a ride to get a cart, basically just take a cart because we were being rushed, No warmup. Just go play. Played the back nine without issue. Once we got to the front nine there was two groups waiting on most tee boxes. Turned into a five plus hour round. Unfortunately, this has happened in the past but not like this though.

Course was in good shape. Had a tournament going and the pace was really slow. A couple greens had some wash out spots. But overall not bad
