Tempest is a great course and definitely worth a place to play in East Texas

There’s a lot more courses out there that are better for a lot less money. Way over priced

Great course, great condition.

Left my range finder in the cart, when I called to tell the pro shop I was told that It was never found.

My fault for leaving it, but I wish whoever found would have done the right thing.

Guess I will be more careful next time. I was just expecting more from their cartbarn staff.

I do not have any ill will towards any level of golfer but having to wait in 100 degree weather for two guys to take 6 minutes every hole to go 150 yards was unbearable. I am sure like everywhere else that don’t have the staff, but if you charge like you do then provide it.

This courses greens could be the best around; however, everytime they start to get really good, they either punch, sand, verticut, etc. I don't know why this is the only course in ET where this is necessary.

Slow play continues to be a problem; however, one of their Marshalls is starting to do some things about it.

A lot of elevation changes. Fairways are tight. A Lot of blind tee shots from the blue tees. Greens were a little fast course plays long very nice place.

Much like everyone else says, course is ok, better than many. However, pace of play is a huge problem here. Only problem worse than pace of play is that management really could care less. Once they have been given your money, you are on your own. When we talked with the head person, he chuckled and told us to go somewhere else, we would find no better than his place.

So, course is fine, just pack a lunch, a snack, and possibly even dinner

Best layout and course conditions I’ve experienced in east tx. Very hot but on course water coolers were present, beverage cart came by several times during play and complimentary ice/cooler on cart. Carts include gps but it rarely worked on either cart in our foursome. That’s about the only complaint and I’ve seen other reviews referencing gps issues. We drove 1 1/2 hours to play course and it was worth the drive and I plan to play again soon. Large greens and undulating fairways make it a challenging course.

Nice course, just a long way to travel and a little high priced for the location.

8 of us drove out and played everyone loved it but it was hot and it is Texas

I have played this course about ten times. It gets better each time. The layout IS challenging. The condition of the course has improved each time I have played it.

The only thing I don't like about this course is the two multi-level greens. They are MUCH too severe and really not necessary. LEVEL them out. I find myself looking for the windmill on those greens.

The staff and pro are top notch and great. The grill and bar is good to.

Come check it out, but hit the correct level on those two three-tiered greens.

Course is starting to mature and is a monster from the tips.

It’s been over two years of progress getting this course where it is now. Smooth fairways help make those thinking shots a little easier. You bite off just about as much or as little as you want out there now. Go get em!

This course turned out to be all it was cracked up to be. The layout is not only very challenging, but beautiful at the same time. Great course at a fair rate. I look forward to going back in the future.

Great course; but, they punch, verticut, sand the greens way too often. Tee markers are not placed correctly; whites can sometimes be farther away than blues. Carts are in bad shape, and GPS system rarely functions correctly. They are way too tolerant of slow play.

Very impressed with this course definitely worth playing
