Great course! No marshal advising players on pace of play, a threesome had the whole course backed up.

Saturday 10:54 tee time. Took north of 2:30 to complete front 9. I get that public golf courses don't move quick, but for an $80 green fee I expected better. They definitely overbooked. Arrived at the 6th to find 4 groups on the hole. Couple that with charge for range balls, cart screen not working, no coolers or club washers etc... Cool, course but not worth the price IMO.

This course gives you everything you ever want in a quality place. Clubhouse, practice facility & friendly people who work there. Nothing needs to be said about the course, it’s no less than a gem. Must be played more than once to really get a feel for all the hills you’ll encounter. Big greens that require precise putting. Go play!!

I again enjoyed a relaxed round at this course...new to me but it has great potential. Many good shots on fairway or green could be on dirt, sand, or just minimal grass. The winter took its toll...but the recent rains helped I am sure. Much better shape.

If you want a challenge, come play Tempest. All handicaps welcome. But step back to the Blacks or even the Blues and enjoy a whole new course.

Beverage Cart isn’t always out but step inside to enjoy the staff at the bar or dining.

Greens are always excellent here, even through aerating.

Excellent east Texas course. Lots of challenging and unique holes. The elevation changes make the course interesting. Also, it's not too tight, no gimmicky or forced holes. First-timers might consider playing up a set of tees and enjoy the ride.

I’ve played this course many times however this was the worst experience I have ever had at a course. Aerated greens and fairways With plugs all throughout fairways. Their was no notification of the course conditions or the cart path only.

Great course layout. Greens were in good shape. Fairways were good.

Only complaint was the pace of play. There was not a starter.

I really like this course located here in beautiful East Texas.

The staff has always been friendly & helpful.

My only complaint is cost.

$75/ rd includes cart but is a little pricey.

Club membership is also on the high side.

I’ll continue to play it a few times a year through Golfnow. Sadly, that cost has also risen to about $65.

Didn't have any expectations since my first time to play was in the middle of winter.

Well laid out course, members were friendly. Greens were in good shape and I would expect them and the fairways to be outstanding in a couple of months. Definitely will be back.

Great course challenging will test your game play here weekly

Great layout of the course. Fast and smooth greens and the course had a lot of hills.

Some bunkers are starting to get a little firm. Either no one went through to take them before play or they are losing sand.

Restaurant was delicious and service was fast. Will be back for sure.

It was a beautiful course and the greens were in good shape. It was a difficult course with fast greens, but a great experience for our first time.
