Golfer Reviews
Northern Gem Among Minding Country
Nestled in the upper portion of the state along Lake Superior and just south of the Canadian border, sits this gem of a gold course.
27 holes with champion level difficulty on most holes but also room for novices to play as well.
Range was nice, but had a slight deloft on the clubs for the days hitting area. Otherwise pretty good. Range balls are not free but not expensive either.
Beautiful practice green with plenty of holes to practice on. Fast and firm but holes could've used a change as there was some grass growing into the cup on the edges slightly.
Carts were gas, peppy, comfortable enough, in good shape, extra storage above in the front corners, and GPS in the cart.
The course was challenging but also easy if you can keep it in the fairway. Tees, fairway and were all beautiful.
This is a fabulous course but living 4 hrs away, even with the beautiful vistas, and Betty's Pies; it's a bit far for just golf. But, if you're within an hour or so (Duluth) go check it out.
Wow, what a course/day!
First time playing this course for both wife and I. Retired couple from Twin Cities. Just average golfers with some physical limitations but we love to golf. It was a perfect day for golf and the course was in exceptional shape. We play many nice courses in the TC/Wisconsin area, and this course would be at the top of the list. Just wish we were closer to play more often.
Views and challenging track
Came back to our fav course — this is one of our favorites. Not just for the views but challenging putting.
Beautiful scenic course
Love this course. It overlooks Lake Superior with beautiful streams flowing thru it.
course was in excellent shape. Great time of year to play
Beautiful course
Really enjoyed. Great Scenery overlooking Lake Superior. Greens were a bit bumpy as they must have been recently aerated.
The colors are out
Course is in good shape and the colors were out already on the ski hill. As always, the scenery is great and even better with the turn to fall!!!!
Needs work
Beautiful layout but course is in average to poor condition. Greens are In especially tough shape and had been cut/seeded In the week we were there. Way overrated and overpriced for the experience we received.
Aeration Season
Loved the course. It met my expectations. The only down side is that it’s aeration or extreme verti-cut season… but it was still a great time.
I will play it it again, and I’m looking forward to putting real greens.
