Legendary Oaks Golf Course
About
Legendary Oaks Golf Club is part of the Lawrence Marshall Family Recreation Center in Hempstead, about an hour northwest of Houston. Stretching to a lengthy 7,061 yards for the back tees, the course boasts several holes that long hitters will enjoy. The layout's par 3s are known to be particularly challenging. The golf course will put your distance to the test but you'll find that accuracy is also needed when negotiating the tighter spots on the course. Water hazards come into play frequently throughout the golf course and there are also many strategically placed bunkers and mature trees to watch out for. Legendary Oaks Golf Club's final hole is a par 4 that demands a tee shot over water while a large willow tree guards the left side and a bunker protects the right. The challenges continue on the uphill second shot.

Good value
The pace of play was good until the last three holes. This place needs more grounds maintenance and upgrading. Needs a good cleaning up.
June 28th Sunday Afternoon
Great course for beginners like my group. Good variety between holes. Marshall was extremely friendly, green conditions are improving each year.
It’s ok! Should be cheaper.
I played this course today and found it to be average overall. While the green fee of around $50 seemed reasonable at first, the condition of the course didn’t quite justify the price. The facility feels dated, from the golf shop to many areas of the course itself.
The greens were playable but showed signs of wear, and the overall maintenance and presentation were below what I would expect for this price point. The amenities and service were adequate but nothing that stood out or enhanced the experience.
If the course were priced a bit lower, I would likely view it more favorably. It’s not a bad place to play, but there are other courses in a similar price range that offer a better overall experience and value.
Legendary oaks
Was pleasantly surprised at the condition of the course nice layout fairly difficult but we did a place slow. It was a long day other than that staff was nice.
Legendary
Played on a Saturday just after noon. Cost was under $50 on a Saturday. Play was a little slow, 4 hours 45 minutes. For the cost, this was a great day. I’ll definitely be going back.
Fun Little Course
It's fairly inexpensive. It's golf! It's Hempstead. But not bad! Some challenging holes. Had a great time! The hole names are half the fun!!!! If you know, you know!
Nice course
Nice course. With all the rain lately it was wet in several places but still very fun to play.
Up & Coming
Great overall course. It’s coming along shout out to management
Getting MUCH Better
We started playing the course 2yrs ago and it was TERRIBLE.... The time and effort they have put into cleaning it up can only be seen by someone who plays this course weekly to bi-weekly.. before you could not even putt on the greens, now most of the greens are filled in and you can actually try to judge a putt. I would recommend the course now, for your weekly player who is trying to improve your game. The price and the course condition are now compatible..... Been impressed with the time and effort put into the course, they are really trying to improve the overall conditions! Great Job!!
Getting Better
Greens are getting better. Tee boxes definitely need work. Fairways are ok but could be better. Overall, I really like this course and hope that they improve more. No senior rate on weekends! 😤
Nice course
They have been working on this course and is getting better then previous years.
