Eagle Ridge Golf Club - Pines Course
About
The Pines Course is one of three nine-hole courses at Eagle Ridge Golf Club in Lakewood. The Links and the Ridge are the other two. The courses can be played individually or as three different 18-hole combinations. The Pines Course is named after the mature, tree-covered landscape. It and the Ridge Course make up the original layout at Eagle Ridge G.C. They were built over a sand and gravel quarry that was used to help build the Garden State Parkway in the late 40s. The unique and undulating topography is a result of this. The towering pinelands lend a sheltered feel to the course as well as a challenging element to the game. There are also strategically placed bunkers that come into play along the greensides.

Course gives you lots of options and in very good condition for an open to the public course. I helps to have a fair degree of local knowledge on many tee shots and lay-ups. Speed could be helped with more bunker rakes on those huge bunkers or make them waste areas; and allowing carts closer than 100 yards from center of greens. Solid course and will gladly play it again
Great course
Great course for a great price. I got the last hot deal for this time so it was really cheap. It had poured rain all morning and when it cleared up I decided to play so the course was very we but absolutely playable. Hitting into the greens was like
Happy Gilmore would love this Place
Shooter McGavin would fear this difficult and beautiful course but Happy would hack it to shreds. The fast greens remind of the clown hole at the mini golf course. Chubbswould be impressed with the fantastic practice range.
No need to worry about gators but look out for angry gophers.
Carl Spackler has the place well manacured & you better be long like the llama on 27, 485yrds from the tips with a forced carry on shot #2 to the green.
Goonga-laGoongala baby!
Nice layout but poor pace.
Liked the course and its condition was great. Played as a single, a threesome and fivesome (I also saw another fivesome) let me through but a older foursome at the turn wouldn't. When I asked if they would mind if I played through one of them said "yes" and they drove off. Waited on them every shot the whole second 9. There were foursomes in front of them but still. No ranger on the course but there were 3 or 4 guys at the starter shack when I finished.
Marathon man
Without a doubt the best public/private course in Ocean County! Staff are always excellent! Clubhouse and course are second to none!
Best course you know nothing about
Long time south nj resident. Thought I knew every course worth playing. I was wrong. Great layout. Conditions are average at best now but I would think in 2-3 weeks it will be excellent.
Greens
When a course represented by golf now has aerated greens, it should be posted so members can decide whether or not they should play.
