Eagle Ridge Golf Club - Pines Course
About
The Pines Course is one of three nine-hole courses at Eagle Ridge Golf Club in Lakewood. The Links and the Ridge are the other two. The courses can be played individually or as three different 18-hole combinations. The Pines Course is named after the mature, tree-covered landscape. It and the Ridge Course make up the original layout at Eagle Ridge G.C. They were built over a sand and gravel quarry that was used to help build the Garden State Parkway in the late 40s. The unique and undulating topography is a result of this. The towering pinelands lend a sheltered feel to the course as well as a challenging element to the game. There are also strategically placed bunkers that come into play along the greensides.

Really fun course
Played the Pines and Links and was thoroughly impressed. Lots of elevation changes to keep things interesting. A number of blind tee shots on the Links course plus the constant blowing of the wind made it challenging but super fun. Greens roll fast but they aren't penal. Overall lots of very scenic views and a well-maintained course that offers plenty of fun.
First time at Eagle Ridge won't be last
Eagle Ridge had been on my radar for some time. The course did not disappoint. The course was extremely challenging and very picturesque. We played the Ridge and Links nines. I would highly recommend this track.
good course
played pines and ridge and had a tough day driving the ball. if I was able to hit more fairways could have gone low. well conditioned course and solid layout. will repeat bacuase I want to play the links 9
Can't wait to play again!
Spectacular in a word.
Greens and fairways, as well as the manicuring was superb. Bunkers were raked, fall leaves were cleared. Despite rain during the round, it drained unbelievably well. Get it before the weather changes!
The course is great shape
Green is well maintain the course is great shape definitely I recommended this course
Great golf course
Very good golf course. So close to my house.highly recommended and good value for money. Well kept.
Wet dat but fun and challenging to play
Ive played here before but never the LInks course which was challenging and beautiful. The course is in excellent shape which makes it a challenging to all levels. My son was home from college so we were able to play 18 holes with cart with tee time at 1:15 for $47 per person with cart which is an amazing price for this type of course. The weather was a misting rain 80% of the day and the only complaint was that our golf cart didn't have a plexi glass window to prevent getting wet when we were moving. From having someone put your clubs on the cart when you arrive to having your clubs cleaned and set by the bag drop for easy pickup is just another simple extra that makes you feel special (almost like you are a member) when you play at Eagle Ridge. I can only hope my finances allows me in the near future to become a member. But for $47 per round I can feel like one for a day with my son. Thanks Eagle Ridge for being part of Golf Now!!!!
Excellent value
Would have still been very satisfied if I had paid more to play. Great conditions, tough rough and fast greens.
green
all green lot of ball marks no one fix there ball marks.golf range need new balls.
Picturesque
Checked in as single and was paired up with another 2 golfers and was able to tee off 1/2 hr earlier than booked. Only got to play 9 holes as family emergency took me off the course but loved each hole. Finished 9 holes in 100 minutes. Greens were consistent and in good shape, fairways excellent as well.
Pretty, tough
Very picturesque course and challenging. Good variety of holes.
The course was a "solid 10"
My wife & I enjoyed a"' Wonderful day on a Wonderful course " .
This course was found in GREAT condition and the weather was also perfect. I will recommend Eagle Ridge to all my friends.
We will be returning soon
Thank you
Pinch me
Is this really a public course in New Jersey that's truly maintained and beautiful in every way?!?!?!
Great experience, great course. Tough but playable.
Really Enjoyed It
First time at Eagle Ridge, and I really enjoyed the overall experience. Played the Pines-Links. Unfortunately, I spent the day all over the place and couldn't hit a single shot like I wanted to, but I enjoyed the course nonetheless. Pines was great, not sure if I really loved the Links layout or not, though - I'd have to play it once or twice more on a day when I could actually hit the ball to make a good determination.
Course conditions and facilities were fantastic for the price of the round ($60 for a Saturday at 9 a.m.) You could tell that Eagle Ridge takes a lot of pride in maintaining the course, and it made the round that much more fun because of it. I'll definitely be back.
Opportunity for improvement
The rangers need to go out and do a better job of pacing play. They did nothing to monitor extremely slow players hitting mutilple (3-4) tee shots until they get one that they liked. Also, I singed up for a tee time with a four some and was put with a Walk on for a two some by the starter. Didn't enjoy the round.
Cool layout
The 3 different 9-hole courses provides a cool layout. However links course may have been too challenging for an average player.
18 holes - 9 on The Pines followed by 9 on the Links
Due to course conditions we began our round on the 10th hole. The back nine of the 18 hole golf course was fairly easy with mostly par 3s and 4s. The more challenging play was from the 19th hole on - on the Links course. Uneven fairways, elevated greens and longer holes were "par" for these nine holes...lots of fun!
Top 5
Great course. Beautiful to see and challenging to play.
Staff was super friendly an ere especially patient with a first timer. Greens and fairways both in excellent condition. Some very difficult holes with long, blind carries. Offset by some fairly easy holes. Highly recommended.
Unbelievable
What a fantastic outing! A bit pricey, but WELL worth it. three sets of nine holes keeps a fantastic pace of play. We will definitely be back and will definitely reccomend to a friend. Probably my new favorite course!!
Very nice
My wife and I played it on Friday afternoon and it was wonderful. We got there early and had lunch at their restaurant then hit a bucket to warm up and played the front 18. It was a perfect golfing experience.
