Jersey Meadow Golf Course
About
Once home to one of the world's largest herds of Jersey dairy cattle, the site is now the Jersey Meadow Golf Course. The course has evolved and changed dramatically over the years, including a major renovation in 2004 that replaced all the greens with Bermuda grass. The layout is routed through groves of mature oaks, providing a secluded feel to most of the holes. The golf course has a classic design that is still a fair test even by modern standards. Water comes into play throughout in the form of ponds, lakes, and winding creeks that weave through the holes. The 14th is a particularly memorable water hole with a creek all along the left side leading to the island green. The fairways are tightly lined with trees and the greens have subtle but tricky contours.

Terrible Pace of Play.
I think most golfers will tell you that there’s nothing worse than a round where you’re constantly sitting and waiting every single hole. Can never get into any sort of rhythm while playing. Marshall’s are non-existent to try and improve pace. Pretty unfortunate as the course layout is fun but not worth paying $80 and a 5-6 hr round. No thank you.
Change for the better
I've been playing jersey meadows on and off for alittle over a decade. As I became more knowledgeable in golf and understanding of conditions of where I've played, I returned to JM for the typical experience as any golfer would. However, in the past, this course was alittle beat up and rough which makes sense due to the large presence each week. As of yesterday, I change my personal recommendation of this course to a good and noticeable improvement, especially to the financial side. I wouldn't have recommended this course before unless somewhere else was closed but now I do. The tee boxes were still the typical beat up type which is alright sometimes. Fairways were average, wasn't lushes but wasn't bare either. Greens and bunkers were the biggest improvement. Before it use to have alot of dry patchy spots and a million divots that no one fixed alongside the sandless rock solid bunkers. Now they have real sand and it's raked along with nice green greens and fast too in which I personally love and prefer. Will be returning soon with more golf addicts.
Afternoon Play
Tee boxes and fairway not in good condition. However, the greens are challenging and will test your putting. Overall hole layout is good variety.
Layout
Too crowded space, the next tee box is right by the previous green.
Consistently great.
The course is friendly. Never extremely crowded. The new clubhouse has the best food. Tenders are very good. The cost is a great value.
Fun day of golf
I've been playing this course for many years but have not in the past year. I was delightfully surprised seeing the new clubhouse and food venue. The greens were overall in good shape and the practice green is definitely better than late 2023. Overall, it was a fun day, and I enjoyed my round!!
Great course amenities
Course was in good shape. Pace of play 4:10 on a Saturday was very good particularly since we followed a members tournament.
New bar area is nicely done. All staff members were very friendly.
Great but too great.
My first time on the course and I will say i had mix feelings. Nothing really stuck out as extremely nice or terrible. The green and grass was still getting through the rain and mud from the freeze so I understand that aspect, however, wasn’t super pleasant to look at. golf now and the golf course did not have great communication and if I was someone who was not tech savvy would have been charged twice because of it. Buddy and I did pair with 2 other cool guys who made the trip very pleasant, however, the grounds keeper was a bit rude because we were 6 mins behind time. I understand rules but bro, I am no where near tiger woods or anyone great by that matter, I think your course will live with me being behind a couple of minutes because I suck. However, I will say the openness, the turtles in the pond, and the golf carts with the screen showing the course is a nice touch and was convenient to see the distance and course layout without having a physical map. My recommendation to the owners, keep up with your course, dry out the wet random puddles and hire people who enjoy being there. Other than that, this course is good for beginners or all players not tooo difficult and has the opportunity to be really prestigious with some TLC.
Cold & Wet Day for Push Cart
Yep, I walked on a 48 degree rainy morning in January. But like my rain suit the course held up great! Greens stayed fairly quick even with the drizzle.Fairways were in good shape. Will be great by spring. Lost the pair I was playing with at the turn but it made the back 9 a beautiful, quiet and serene 2 hours to concentrate and enjoy the well established course. Its a great place to take beginners and low handicappers alike.I really enjoy this place.
