About
Once home to one of the world's largest herds of Jersey dairy cattle, the site is now the Jersey Meadow Golf Course. The course has evolved and changed dramatically over the years, including a major renovation in 2004 that replaced all the greens with Bermuda grass. The layout is routed through groves of mature oaks, providing a secluded feel to most of the holes. The golf course has a classic design that is still a fair test even by modern standards. Water comes into play throughout in the form of ponds, lakes, and winding creeks that weave through the holes. The 14th is a particularly memorable water hole with a creek all along the left side leading to the island green. The fairways are tightly lined with trees and the greens have subtle but tricky contours.

Bumpy Fairways
Late March, so hopefully fairways get better later in Spring. Fairways were very bumpy and uneven.
Focus on the greens
I appreciate their upgrades of cart paths and restrooms drainage etc. The greens need a lot of attention and they could increase the par rating by lengthening hole 1 and now 17. Sure, that’s more expense and USGA has to review but many more golfers including myself would come to make it worth your while.
Pace of play was a buzzkill
The round would have been completed about 45 mins earlier had the 4-some of old guys let us pass them on 10 when we waited on the tee box behind them to tee off. I wish more course had marshals and took notice of slow play and made slow players allow others to pass. Would make the courses great to play.
Good northwest houston golf course
Great place to play 18 holes, i wish They had a hole offer. Other than that it is a great value for what it is. Staff was friendly and was accommodating as best they could be.
Early Horn
Had a 2:40 tee time and didn’t make it through 9 holes due to poor pace of play. The horn sounded at 5:40 and sunset wasn’t until 6:15. In fact visibility was high until about 7:00 that day due to really clear conditions. Everyone that was on the course agreed that the day ended extremely pre-maturely. While multiple people searched for someone to speak to at the pro-shop, or anywhere for that matter, no one was there to issue any type of rain-check or reimbursement. While the course cannot micro manage all of the people out there playing the Marshall’s could definitely find away to speed things up a bit. The first 4 holes were so congested we found ourselves waiting 20-30 minutes after each hole just waiting on the tee box. This is the second similar experience and will not be going back.
Fun golf
Narrow fairways, lots of water hazards, I will suggest a few extra restrooms. Friendly staff. Easy to get in and out of parking lot. Good fun filled golf.
