Jersey Meadow Golf Course
About
Once home to one of the world's largest herds of Jersey dairy cattle, the site is now the Jersey Meadow Golf Course. The course has evolved and changed dramatically over the years, including a major renovation in 2004 that replaced all the greens with Bermuda grass. The layout is routed through groves of mature oaks, providing a secluded feel to most of the holes. The golf course has a classic design that is still a fair test even by modern standards. Water comes into play throughout in the form of ponds, lakes, and winding creeks that weave through the holes. The 14th is a particularly memorable water hole with a creek all along the left side leading to the island green. The fairways are tightly lined with trees and the greens have subtle but tricky contours.

Under Construction
They are making a lot of improvements, unfortunately it is not ready for full time play! Front side has two holes moved up to Par 3 to let the new fairways grow in! Will not play it again until Spring of 2022! Hopefully the course will be back to playing all 18 as designed!
Poor putting green, unplayable hole
Staff at the pro shop was not so friendly. The girl behind the kitchen was super nice. This golf course has been under construction for such a long time. I heard that some holes were closed last May and one of them was still under construction today. There was no sign saying it’s unplayable or not. No signs of hole numbers or directions leading to next hole. The putting green is poor. They had nice carts and clean, newly paved cart path though. A lot of the holes are cart path only regardless of weather.
Green fee is cheaper than other courses, but it’s less likely that I would want to re-book or recommend this place at this stage. Maybe after they are completely renovated and more organized, I would try again.
Terrible experience
Avoid this course. They can’t be bothered to shut the course down to perform a proper renovation. Instead they have you play a round with holes completely shut down and tee off on a par 3 with a tee box that consists of a grass mat on top a warped piece of plywood. Not to mention the course overall is in bad shape.
Clearly they’d prefer to keep money flowing in to pay for their fancy GPS carts rather than keep the course in a playable shape.
Ongoing upgrades
Each time I play this place they have made good progress on the many upgrades around the course. Many new cart paths, new bathrooms, new sod on many front nine fairways, new tee boxes, new/redesigned water hazards, the new sand in bunkers, improved range, short game area and putting green. This course had made many wonderful improvements over the last two years. While there is still some work to be done, like on some drainage, if you haven't played it for a while it is definitely worth the time and money. The staff is friendly and attentive, and greens were in good shape, Looking forward to new clubhouse when/if it gets built.
The course is in construction in many holes. And they don't let you know before you make the reservation. When playing in these conditions they cannot charge the same as a field in good condition.
Worst experience in over 30 years
It was a beautiful day for golf, unfortunately everything from the checkin who was on a personal call the whole time, to the starter who was EXTREMELY rude, the ranger who was angry, and the course which was horrendous, with water on the cart psth on a majority of hòles, contruction equipment everywhere, and oh did I mention the starter was a complete ahole? I've been golfing in Houston for over 30 years and this was by far my worst experience.
Jersey Meadows Under Construction
Uninteresting, cow pasture layout located on electrical transmission ROW. Water hazards strewn about to eliminate places to miss, very difficult to play in windy conditions.
Course under construction, heavy machinery and debris makes fairway shoulders inaccessible due to equipment holding area or construction zone. Staff ambushed my group by proclaiming closed back side restricting play to twice around front side. Respectable practice area & range, but doesn't merit a return visit unless you live close and harbor low expectations.
I like the new layout oh, it's all coming together but still has drainage problems supposedly that's what the remodel was all about, time for review
was a single on a Saturday,Marshall's, are lost, I was told that I would be joining three other people, went up to the Tee Box 5 minutes before my tee time three people did drive around me I should I believe it was for I don't know who they were all I know is there was a group in front of me group in front of them they took off around me there was a tournament that was going on the 3-minute front of me where late coming to the tournament there were just being off so there was definitely a cluster going on then I became a single with a threesome in front of me in a foursome behind me that's not a lot of fun, I don't know how it happened, then they came up to me on the 9th so wondering how I got where I'm at well on whole number to I cut across enjoying some people on number four so I could play with some people and not be playing by myself in between two groups which would be ridiculous anyways overall I hope they get it together I've always loved Jersey. But, blah blah blah I want this to be one of my favorites again I wish they would oblige it is getting better I need more sand in the bunkers oh, and more Marshalls in order to keep a uniform will game going for all the people that are playing there thanks Jersey Meadows my original golf home
Never Go Back ... for a while
Front 9 should be closed. Back 9 plays at normal course conditions. I believe two holes are closed or under construction on the front 9.
course in transition
I played the course for the second time today. The front side was closed for upgrade The layout is good, the fairway in typical condition for this time of year. But it appeared that the greens had not been mowed today; they were very slow and somewhat bumpy.
Horrible golf course
Horrible golf course, Marshall was acting like God. Course under construction so you play the back 9 twice!
Bad bad greens
The greens are weed patches and parts are completely dead. Some are soft and some are hard. The course itself is fine shape. We played the back nine twice but had no issues with pace of play.
If they clean up the greens it will be a gem.
