Jersey Meadow Golf Course
About
Once home to one of the world's largest herds of Jersey dairy cattle, the site is now the Jersey Meadow Golf Course. The course has evolved and changed dramatically over the years, including a major renovation in 2004 that replaced all the greens with Bermuda grass. The layout is routed through groves of mature oaks, providing a secluded feel to most of the holes. The golf course has a classic design that is still a fair test even by modern standards. Water comes into play throughout in the form of ponds, lakes, and winding creeks that weave through the holes. The 14th is a particularly memorable water hole with a creek all along the left side leading to the island green. The fairways are tightly lined with trees and the greens have subtle but tricky contours.

Save your money
$55 for a course that has the front 9 under construction and clientele driving in your fairway while you’re trying to tee off.
If you just HAVE to play this course, at least wait until they finish the construction because paying (almost) full price for this is absolutely not worth it.
Won’t be back.
Course holes
This is not as advertised. The whole front nine is shut down due to construction during the week. So you have to play the back nine twice… oh wait I mean 8 because number 11 was being worked on for sprinkler damage and they still want to charge regular rates. Garbage.
3 100yd holes in a row.
Course is under construction. Very obvious even in the holes farthest from the biggest construction. Staff was very awkward on the phone but got what I needed done. Marshall was very friendly though!
Under Construction
Looks like most of the reviews have covered this already but the course is under construction and the front nine has been altered significantly. Hole 9 was completely closed. The 4th tee box was underwater and you played it from 100 yards out. Hole 5 is typically a par 4 which was turned into another 100 yard par 3. Hole 6 looked normal but you had to hit off of a mat. Hole 7 is a par 5 that was turned into a 150 yard par 3. The range was closed. The short game area was closed. But if you're looking for a quicker round, the lack of people and abundance of par 3s will help you get through it faster.
Not worth the money at all
I’m not one to write reviews, but this place is not worth a dime until they at least finish whatever they’re doing construction wise. Even after that I don’t know if id play there again. The staff acts like this place is some high dollar course and they’re all sticklers. Pro shop guys answer the phones with the worst attitudes and the cart guy acts like a complete jerk, when he just sits in a 10 x 10 building all day. The course isn’t bad but the service definitely ruins it. They said they give you a 20% discount right now because there is only 16 playable holes and still there’s like 5 holes in a row that aren’t typically par 3’s but you have to play them that way because of the construction. There was one hole that was made a par 3 for the time being and it was like 62 from the hole. Would not recommend this place to anybody until they get new staff because that was the worst experience I’ve ever had golfing. Oh and by the way we brought our own cooler full of beer. Hope one of the employees reads this.
Under construction
There were several holes under construction so you end up playing 6 par 3s in a row on the front 9. Greens were THICK & slow & almost every hole had huge puddles on it
The course is under construction and there are only 17 hole available for play
Course conditions
Should not charge what they are charging while the course is under construction.
Course conditions
Course is under construction... They should not charge what they do...
Course Conditions
They should be ashamed charging what they do considering the course condition.... I know its a business however many of us have supported this golf course over many years. There is no doubt that it will be awesome in the coming months... however right now..... Its almost not worth playing for the price. Sorry but TRUE....
Great round
Some course renovations being done, however not a bad course by any means. Should be really nice after the construction is done
A heads up
The reason for the" heads up" it's because I wasn't informed of the course condition prior to me starting my round. From the first tee things was looking great but when I got to the second gound it closed and the next few holes all was under construction with temp tee box(mats) the whole front of course is under construction, the back nine was in better shape. This place hold water, now as far as recommending I do and will play it again once the reconstruction in completed and there has been less rain coming from Fl I know saturation.
Staff is incredibly rude
Staff in the pro shop was rude, pace of play was about 20 minutes a hole it’s not worth the money, took us 3 hours to play 9 in Houston there are course that are the same with way better pace of play and staff don’t recommend
Welp…..
The staff was great and friendly, but the only problem is that we only played 8 holes before we got rained out. Hole #5 is being renovated, so you have to drive past that one. Then on two more holes you have to tee off from a worn out weather mat. The rain has been killing this course. I don’t think I would come back until the renovations are complete. I liked the layout, but was also only able to play the front 9 until we had thunderstorm. Not worth it to pay $30+ and you only get 17 holes. I would honestly wait until this place is renovated and dry before you play here.
I am so disappointed
A quarter of the course is off limits and when I use golf now and get rained out I lost all my money. Played 9 holes and the Marshall’s are horriblibly rude the whole time
Great course in the right weather pattern.
Played 15 holes in 3.5 hours, with 3 closed. Was not made aware by the pro shop, but for $30 wasn’t bad. It’s been a rainy week in Houston, so the greens and fairways were a bit long, but nothing they could have done about it. Overall fun time and would love to come back in drier conditions. If dry it’s 100% worth the money, but with 3 holes closed maybe a slight discount at say $20-$25 would make sense. Will be back.
You get what you pay for
The ranger Leroy is the only positive this course has to offer. Good luck deciphering the fairway from the rough. The starter spends more time playing golf on her phone than getting golfer out on the golf course. Leroy was extremely friendly, and was the only positive to come from this course. Overall you get what you pay for, if you want a cheap course, don’t come in with any expectations, otherwise you will be disappointed.
