About
Once home to one of the world's largest herds of Jersey dairy cattle, the site is now the Jersey Meadow Golf Course. The course has evolved and changed dramatically over the years, including a major renovation in 2004 that replaced all the greens with Bermuda grass. The layout is routed through groves of mature oaks, providing a secluded feel to most of the holes. The golf course has a classic design that is still a fair test even by modern standards. Water comes into play throughout in the form of ponds, lakes, and winding creeks that weave through the holes. The 14th is a particularly memorable water hole with a creek all along the left side leading to the island green. The fairways are tightly lined with trees and the greens have subtle but tricky contours.

Great value
I loved the course and the layout. Only reason it’s not 5 stars is the greens weren’t up to 5 star standards. However even they weren’t too bad. Overall a great course for the money. I will play here again.
Pleasantly surprised at the course conditions at such a low price.
Course in good shape. Greens were fast. A few greens have a weed problem but still rolled great.
No Drainage
First off let me start by saying they are extremely organized. We arrived and had our tee spots ready, the staff is really friendly. We did not however enjoy the amount of water the course holds. It had rained Saturday night and we played Wednesday and the course was still really wet. I was scooping chunks of grass on every swing. Also due to the fact that it was wet the fairways had not been cut and was playing on relatively tall grass. The course is also small, so the holes are close to each other, I almost got hit twice. However the green were really nice and the sand traps were very well taken care of.
Up and down—hopefully back up again...
I’ve been playing this course for the past 3 yrs. I always found it to be a good value because they did a great job maintaining their greens. I was very excited about the investment in “upgrading” the course a bit mid yr last year and I’m pleased with the finished product. With that said, I played on Monday 5/18 and I was shocked to see the tee boxes and greens in horrible shape. Not what I’m used to at JM. They get a mulligan due to Covid, but things need to get fixed soon. However, if you’re looking for a budget friendly course—it is what it is. YMMV.

AWESOME AND ACCOMADATING STAFF
Booked a hot deal tee time, showed up an hour early hoping to get off early. Marshall let me know he cannot let me off early due to their policy, but to talk to the pro shop manager. Talking to the manager she was Very accomadating and understanding, this was my first hot deal tee time here and I did not know I needed to tee off only at that time. She let me tee off early! Super friendly and understanding staff here regards to GolfNow , which is usually not the case for any other course. The course is also in great condition although they had sanded the greens the day I played. Would definately recommend playing here. They give you your own power cart as well for social distancing!

2nd time playing. Nicely well kept course. Pace of play is good today and last time was great! Played from the Blues today and it's a bit short so if you are a longer hitter, you should play from the Blacks.

Course keeps improving!
Jersey has become on of the regular courses that my friends and I play in Houston. The course has undergone a lot of improvements in the past years, while remaining a good value. The greens are now up to par (no pun intended) with other similarly-priced courses. The layout is a bit unique but does present its challenges. I would recommend this course for someone looking to have a fun, relaxed round!
