Jersey Meadow Golf Course
About
Once home to one of the world's largest herds of Jersey dairy cattle, the site is now the Jersey Meadow Golf Course. The course has evolved and changed dramatically over the years, including a major renovation in 2004 that replaced all the greens with Bermuda grass. The layout is routed through groves of mature oaks, providing a secluded feel to most of the holes. The golf course has a classic design that is still a fair test even by modern standards. Water comes into play throughout in the form of ponds, lakes, and winding creeks that weave through the holes. The 14th is a particularly memorable water hole with a creek all along the left side leading to the island green. The fairways are tightly lined with trees and the greens have subtle but tricky contours.

Upgrades are noticeable
JM has gone a long way towards improving the course… changes are noticeable, haven’t seen so much grass around the course in years…
Only bad part was the lack of different grass height concerning the fringe & ruff …
There was basically fairways cut then the deep ruff…
Also around the greens, a few different levels of cut fringe would be nice…
And #10 needs to dry up in front of the green…
Other than that course looked great, best it has in over 10 years
Improving
This course has a nice fun layout.
Greens are 6/10 a lot of sandy spots which is understandable in Texas summer, but the green rolls like a pinko board.
Staff is hit or miss. Some are cool some you just want to stay clear of.
Nice fairways with decent to good grass throughout.
Bunkers are in nice shape with fluffy pure sand.
Pace of play is decent. Marshalls will come around and try their best to keep pace of play up.
I would recommend trying it out with a couple friends
Challenging and Fun
Great local course for the money. Older design but well maintained. Also new pro shop and club house. Great staff and quality range. Recommended for the cost.
Jersey Meadow is amazing
It’s been half a year since I visited there last time. The amenities become so clean and comfy. I really enjoyed the golf time with my friends. I will definitely go there soon!
Pleasant Surprise
Great staff and well maintained course. Will play again.
Solid Muni
Really solid Track, enjoyed the layout, greens were a bit rough but I can tell they are working on that. Despite having just seen a ton of rain and nasty winds the course was very playable and the ground was nice. I look forward to coming back in the Fall and checking in out again.
Just an Ok Course!
The Greens were in bad shape, not puttable in some cases. The Pace was somewhat slow. Overall, the price is fair for a neighborhood course. I would recommend this course for practice on if you live within 20 minutes.
LNC
one of the worst...
I have played at this course about three times now, and each experience has been progressively worse. The customer service is virtually nonexistent, with Jonathan being the only employee who genuinely offered any assistance. The greens are in terrible condition, and the pace of play is poorly managed by the marshal. I lost a lob wedge and never got it back, even though I found and returned someone else's wedge. It seems mine was taken, which is incredibly frustrating.
Additionally, the other guests were quite rude, especially towards those in my group who are new to golf. When I went to the range, I had to wait ten minutes just to get some range balls.
The only positive aspect of this course is the golf cart, which has a GPS and provides yardage information—a nice feature. However, I will not be returning unless it's to retrieve my lost wedge. If you're looking for good service and value for your money, I recommend going elsewhere.
Punched Greens And Sand
The new club house is great, offering the indoor simulator. However, the greens were in horrible shape. Punched and sanded greens are normal, but dying & fungas greens are not. After this rain, I suspect greens will be in great shape. I wouldn't play for another month or call prior to playing.
Great value despite some course conditions.
Seems the construction mentioned in the past is done or nearly finished.
Carts were pretty neat. Enjoyed the digital displays.
The two ladies at check-in were super kind.
Can’t say the same for this older gentleman that was there. Extremely rude and condescending. Not sure why he was so upset. Especially on Fathers Day. Definitely could have approached us a little better.
The tee boxes were pretty rough and hard. Could barely stick tees in. Greens were the worst of it all. But I’m still happy with it in the end. First time there. Would return. As long as that guys not there.
Greens are awful
There’s no way this course should be $70. The fairways are fine. No different from any other course in the Houston area. But the greens were horrible. Had to rub sand off my putter each time I set it down. There were probably 3-4 dead spots on each green. Just insane to be charging that much for greens like that.
Price needs to be adjusted
The greens.... it's the greens... as long as they are under construction/playable as regular greens the prices should be adjusted. They are bad! Tee boxes need some leveling too. Other than that, friendly staff, great new club house, fairways and bunkers are good and the layout is fun and challenging.
