About
Once home to one of the world's largest herds of Jersey dairy cattle, the site is now the Jersey Meadow Golf Course. The course has evolved and changed dramatically over the years, including a major renovation in 2004 that replaced all the greens with Bermuda grass. The layout is routed through groves of mature oaks, providing a secluded feel to most of the holes. The golf course has a classic design that is still a fair test even by modern standards. Water comes into play throughout in the form of ponds, lakes, and winding creeks that weave through the holes. The 14th is a particularly memorable water hole with a creek all along the left side leading to the island green. The fairways are tightly lined with trees and the greens have subtle but tricky contours.

Golfer Reviews
General review
kind manager. near my house. fair course condition
JV Golf Course
Good Course for the money.
Dangerous
The on-line booking was easy, staff were very friendly.
I rated the course layout as poor due to the fact that the fairways/greens are arranged, in my opinion; in such a way as to make play dangerous.
One example is that when the group I was playing in were making their approach shot to the number 10 green there were ladies playing out of the sand bunker to the left of the green! We had people from other groups, both to the right and left of us; playing in our fairway on several holes. As long as you keep your head on a swivel and wear body armor this is a fun course with great staff.
It's a shame
This course WAS a really nice course at one time. It IS one of the worst courses I've ever payed over $20 to play now. $29 with fees is what I paid for twilight golf. I think morning few times are $50+ thats just crazy nonsense. The place was empty on one of the nicest days of the year. And after seing the the greens I knew why. Weeds everywhere. Clover all through the fairways. St Augustine everywhere. More poa annua on the greens than bermuda. I'm a good putter and making a put over 5' was a crapshoot at this place. Texaco is a $10 course and is in better shape. And the layout is about as good. This course should be a sub $20 course until they get some herbicide on it. I'm wondering how a superintendent can keep his job at a course like this with paying members. I won't be back.
Green
Course was in decent shape, greens need maintenance. Computers not working in clubhouse so we had to leave and get cash to pay for round. Staff did not offer a discount for our trouble.
Good value
Course looks like they are prepping for cooler months. Rough cut lower and some hazard areas where there once was tall grass cut all the way down.
Course is in good shape overall, yet the greens have suffered some this year.
Play this course multiple times due to its value and location. Recommended to others as well that are in the area.
Lovely course
Course playing very well greens running a little slow, possibly due to the recent rain course was not busy finished in 3 hours nice layout friendly staff overall excellent time at the course
Had a lot of fun
Course was in great condition when I played. Staff was friendly and a lot of fun when I encountered them. They also had a great sense of humor, I didn't have that feeling like they didn't want to be at work that say or anything.
I ran into a good special online and the special was so good and the day was so nice I thought it would be packed and a slow round of golf. Instead I was pleasantly surprised that the pace of play was awesome.
I've played this course maybe 6-7 times and it has always been a pleasant experience (regardless of my score)
The only thing that makes me nervous about this course is there are a couple of tee boxes that are situated in such a way that if you have someone that has an errant golf ball then you are a target
Jersey Meadows
Burger was amazing. Course was in decent shape considering it has been so hot.
Marshall was so cool!
Front desk needs more personality but overall really enjoyed the experience.

Great Pace due to layout
I played this course for the first time and still managed to finish in less than four hours. The layout was great and the course was in better than average condition. The greens were average with some in better condition than others. Overall it was a good value for the price. I will be returning to play this course again.
Fighting the weeds
Take this review with a grain of salt as it was July 4th and the grounds crew had apparently been given the day off.
Overall, nice little municipal golf course with a friendly staff. Course layout has a variety of hole designs and enough sand/water to challenge you. However they are fighting some weed issues on the greens. This lead to numerous dead spots all over the greens as they treat this (at first I thought they had widespread fungus problem damaging the greens). This left poor putting conditions on already hard/inconsistently holding greens.
Nice enough place. Reasonable value. I'll return in the fall as the greens recover.
Nice track
It was my first time playing this course and I was happy I did. The tee boxes, fairways and sand traps were in very good shape. The rough, although a little thick in some places, was not to penal when you missed the fairway. My only gripe would be the condition of the greens. Although they weren't terrible by any stretch of the imagination, they were a little bumpy and had some dead spots on them. They still rolled fairly quick thanks to the sun/heat.
I will definitely be returning, especially if I can het a hot deal again.
OK Time
EXTREMELY friendly staff and I hate to give this course a bad rating but the course conditions were ok for the price paid. Greens had a lot of bumps and didn't seem to be smooth as I would have expected. I'd give this course another try though.
Good for the money
It is a good course. Friendly staff. I played with my wife on a Friday and our tee time was for 7:08 but we got there early and they let us tee off 20 mins early.
