Jersey Meadow Golf Course
About
Once home to one of the world's largest herds of Jersey dairy cattle, the site is now the Jersey Meadow Golf Course. The course has evolved and changed dramatically over the years, including a major renovation in 2004 that replaced all the greens with Bermuda grass. The layout is routed through groves of mature oaks, providing a secluded feel to most of the holes. The golf course has a classic design that is still a fair test even by modern standards. Water comes into play throughout in the form of ponds, lakes, and winding creeks that weave through the holes. The 14th is a particularly memorable water hole with a creek all along the left side leading to the island green. The fairways are tightly lined with trees and the greens have subtle but tricky contours.

slow pace
There was a lot of waiting between holes to play. Marshall came around a few times, but still no relief.
Many hidden lakes, flooded after rain
When got a hot deal of $30, after i booked it went down to $24, felt i was cheated. When i arrived i know why the price came down, we only can ride the cart paths and they were flooded, the fairways mostly wet after a big rain a day before so not many people played. Also the course designed in an area where many electric towers are standing and so the electricity transfering cables are crossing several fairways.
Nice greens
It was extremely hot when we played. Despite the August heat the greens were in good shape.
We enjoyed playing this course and will probably play again, probably when it is cooler.
Good Value
I've played Jersey Meadows many times. For it being August 1st, the course was in the best condition that I have ever seen coming out of summer. The 2 inches of rain the night before made the balls really stick on approach.
Slow Play
The course was in excellent condition. I love Bermuda fairways with a little give. However because of the lack of a marshal and the exceptional slow play of 3 foursomes ahead of our group, we had to skip several holes to keep from having to spend 6 hours playing a round of golf
Muni with several challenging holes
Definitely has the feel and ambiance of a muni, but exhibited reasonably good course conditions. Several holes were quite challenging compared with the course as a whole. Two of the par 3s require excellently struck 180 yard shots. Several of the par 4s require well placed lay up drives. Clientele generally dressed and behaved in a manner respectful to the game and exhibited good golf etiquette.
All good
Course greens were much better than I remembered. Ladies tees are still hard to get tee into, that hasn't changed. Overall, really good condition, fun to play.
Very good value
Course was in very good condition , greens roped true and fairways lush. Moved around. In fast pace. Excellent value.
Good Greens
I've played this course a few times and the condition of the greens has varied. On this day they were in good condition. The course has a few challenges, but the single obstacle I kept finding was the enormous group of power lines that cross the course. My ball managed to hit them 3 times.
Narrow fairways
The course is tight and we had to wait several times for other that had crossed over into our fairway to move. There is plenty of water hazards on the course to avoid as well. The greens looked good, but seemed slow.
Hidden value
The greens are ALWAYS plush, usually soft and fast. The fairways are usually in great shape. The distance markers are accurate. I usually play whites but played blues today, added a little extra challenge on a few holes.
Great course
Will play here again. The greens are challenged but still fun
Dont understand a 3.7 overall rating.
I purchased a Golfnow hot deal and played this course for about $20. I would not have been happy if I had paid any more. The greens were not in good condition and were very fast. The course played very fast. My friend and I played the front 9 in about an hour, but there was no starter so around the 15th hole everyone was bunched up waiting around.
Course
Course has been in better condition before, staff was friendly and pace of game was good.
Great course, will play there again, thank you
I like the course a lot, will definitely play there again
A fun course to play
Played in a warm overcast windy day. The lay out is open and favors the less than perfect golfer. As others have said the winter weeds on the green made putting a bit of a challenge. I'll play the course again as discounted rates.
Greens keeper needs to buy weed killer!
Played yesterday in sunny conditions. The ever present wind (15 - 20 mph) adds to the challenge of this course.
What else adds to the challenge, and is no fun, is the amount of poa annua weeds taking over the greens. I understand it's a winter weed and will die out in the heat of summer, but it's ridiculous to see putts bouncing of the weeds as it rolls to the cup. Really. Buy some weed killer folks!
Overall the course is in fair condition. Fairways are okay - could be better, could be a lot worse. Sand traps were a bit above average.
I like the course but only play it when I can get an on-line deal. It's not worth the rack rate to me. I will be back, but only when I can get a deal.
Good Pace
I find the course relaxing and the scenery is nice. If you can hit the ball straight and keep out of the water and the sand traps you can have a Heck of a good round. The staff is friendly and I highly recommend this course.
Green condition
Green condition was not so good since there were some weeds on the green. On the other hand, through the green is no problem.
