Copper Creek
Great course in a great location and a great value for what we got. Would love to play there again
Great rate
Course was challenging from the tips even though only about 6000 yards . Rate was unbelievable through golf now !
Course is Beautiful but difficult
Enjoyed the course will visiting from Vail.
The views and the mountains were spectacular.Golf Couse was in great shape but without GPS on the course certain holes were difficult to understand. Course should have a yardage book to give the golfer better information of the holes.. Difficult greens that are fast and
have undulations that are difficult to read. Overall give the course a 4.5
Great value
This time of year hard to get morning tee time; was able to on this course; delayed a bit by morning frost. Starter very nice; kept space between groups so did not feel rushed. No marshal seen so could be an issue if one group slow. Front nine is nine holes carved out space for prob 7; back nine very pretty and challenging; short but narrow. Greens and fairways fabulous; greens fast but fair; never a bad lie in fairway. Green fee prob 60 % compared to most courses in the area. Driving range is off carpet hitting into net; so not ideal. Did have on-course drink cart ;
Unique course; would recommend.
Greta Rocky Mountain Experience! *****
This a mountain course that weaves its way through the Copper Mountain Ski Resort. Spectacular views wherever you look and a nice layout with some challenges on both front and back. We had a wonderful time and a great value from Golf Now.
Nice bar and grill and a relaxed non snobbish "local" friendly attitude to all. Highly recommend you try this course next time you are in Summit County!
Highest tee box in North America
Hard to find Pro Shop but otherwise fun course. 9785 foot elevation tee box on par 4 #14 hole. Great carry!!
We got rained out
We got to play only 6 holes and then got rained out with a lot of lightning and heavy rain.
Copper
The course was in good condition and presented some interesting features. However there was no marshal to assist pace of play. The group in front of us hit multiple shots, went off the course to look for lost balls, were not considerate of the rules of golf or others playing the course.
What a beautiful course!
First time to play this particular course and we really enjoyed it. The view and scenery was spectacular, especially the elevated tee boxes of the back nine. The course was in generally good condition, but was not well marked. Even with the map of the hole layout we got lost a couple of times going from one hole to the next. Take your range finders because the only yardage markers we saw were the 100 yards to the green. Good challenges to the course, especially the multi-terraced greens, some narrow approaches and a few well-placed pot bunkers as well as water. Overall, a very enjoyable course.
Nice course
If you are able to get a special rate, nice course. Staff friendly, driving range hits into net. It's not one you remember as a great course, but fun. Narrow course!
Copper
The golf course was definitely an afterthought to the skiing areas and housing. Not much personality and excessive number of par 3s made it feel like an "executive course" vice a GOLF COURSE!
Views
Excellent time is had by all
Course in good shape--environment at golf club not so nice.
This isn't a "real" golf course, since much of it is a ski area during the winter. Shabby "clubhouse" with indifferent staff who looked much more likely to be ski lift attendants. Bar/restaurant a bit rough and more oriented to young people drinking shots than to golfers wanting to have a drink and a meal at the end of a round. Other issues with guests walking on cart paths and inadequate signage to each tee. Much room for improvement.
The scenery was fantastic
Play the course three times got better every time some fantastic elevated tea boxes The scenery was unbelievable. The altitude was a problem. All and all had a great time.
Short but a challenge
Fun course to play. Claims the highest Tee in North America. Greens and fairways in great condition. Pace of play excellent. Would play again.
Tight course lined with condos.
This track is tight and short. Driver is not needed and unless you are very straight can only get you in trouble. IMHO this course is a $40 course built between the highway and Ski Copper.
Early season golf
The course was in great shape even with the early season snow run off. I suggest everyone take advantage of the early season rates now, but expect some wet socks.
GolfNow made this course worthwhile
I'd played here years ago before the back 9 went in. The front had the feeling of something contrived to fill space between condos; it still does, with road traffic quite evident at crossings. The back 9, however, is way excellent: very pretty and interesting.
I would ONLY recommend this course if the person can get a great rate, as I did through GolfNow. The "rack rate" of all the mountain courses is pricey, but Copper does offer some good specials.
There is virtually no practice facility. The driving range is a parking lot with mats, the practice green is a joke.....but OK for warming up with soft wedges.
The greens have a lot of mixed grasses, and the attention to fairway divots was sporadic at best. The course has a lot of hidden hazards, which I consider inappropriate for a resort course with few regular players. Signage is pretty poor. SUMMARY: A nice outing if you can get a great rate.
A beginners dream
Due to substantial rain night before and continued snow melt front 9 was flooded in multiple areas. Back 9 was great condition. Very short course- you can drive a few greens on par4s. Challenging obstacles, great features, elevated tee boxes, amazing views make this course a beginners dream!
