About
Carlton Gipson designed the Golf Club At Cinco Ranch in the early 1990s. It's a long golf course that features an ocean of water impacting play on 16 of 18 holes. For the most part, the holes are straight and open, with minimal trees framing the paths to the greens. The greens are unique because of the unusually shaped bunkers that create very different short game challenges from what one normally finds. One of the best holes is no. 4, a 557-yard par 5 that features an approach shot over water into an elevated green. In addition to the water, the green is fronted by a bunker that is at least 10 feet below the hole. This requires a phenomenal, blind bunker shot for an up-and-down.

Good for the price
Tee boxes were in rough shape. Otherwise, good course for the price.

Course was in really good condition. Pace of play was Four hours—we were a foursome on a Sunday! Great day
Highly recommend
Beautiful weather! Course in great shape. Starter moved all off on schedule before us. Never waited, not was our foursome ever pushed. Refreshment cart made frequent rounds.
Fun course
A Little pricey, but overall the course is in decent shape. Staff was extremely friendly. I will play here again and recommend to my friends
Five Ball allowed and no Marshall on Saturday afternoon
I had always thought 5-balls were generally not allowed at weekends. However, at Cinco Ranch we got stuck behind TWO five-balls on a Saturday afternoon (our T- time was early afternoon). To add to our frustration, we never saw a marshall the whole round.
Great course, facilities and people etc, but rounds need to be managed better for the price they charge.
