Modified par three (??) Photo submitted by perimeterblack on 10/09/2020
Course now
Greens in pretty decent condition. They only have 2 courses open and no practice putting green. The back 9 had workers on every green. I wouldn’t pay over 50 to play here due to all the reconstruction going on.
Pecan Grove review
All in all a pretty solid course staff was very nice. Clubhouse is extremely nice. Course conditions was very good. Some of the greens could use some help all in all pretty solid.I’m
Disappointed
Seemd like parts of the course hadn't been maintained in weeks. The staff is unfriendly snd not helpful. For the money there are plenty of options in the area that provide a superior experience
Major improvements
This was my first time back to this course in a few months and I’m very happy with there improvements. Brand spanking new carts, tee boxes were in better shape and they’ve done a great job with the greens.
Wow!
The course is in better condition and they have new carts with GPS! The staff even seams more polite. Good job. It looks like they may be working on the sprinkler system.
Double charged me
Greens look like crap, course is setup dumb with no obvious directions, everything is like worn down and raggedy, the staff is very unprofessional even threatened me for asking why they charged me 650$ for a 4 person tee time, wouldn’t recommend coming here, drinks are over priced, people are rude, course was horrendous … first bad experience I’ve had at a golf club and I will never be back or recommend this place to anyone
Pecan and Plantation Courses
The Pecan course was GREAT.
The Plantation side was under some construction.
The Pecan greens and fairways were in awesome shape.
The Plantation greens and fairways need work.
The drainage on the Plantation needs to improve.
If anyone looking for cheap golf on a good course and does not care about minor issues then this is the place for a round or two.
Much improved
The course was much improved from the last time I played there a couple months ago. They new renovations to the clubhouse and pool look great. The course was in much better condition than back in June. Still one hole on Plantation course that holds a lot of water. But overall so much better. And the pro-shop employee was very friendly!
The club at Pecan Grove has been using “Round Up” on everything.
Sad that the golf course mgmt co is spraying ROUND UP on two beautiful 25 yr old Crepe Myrtles as well as other plants or weeds. As many of you know, Round Up has been known to cause Cancer. Be careful & don’t walk your pets near the golf course .
Too bad the members can’t stop this immediately.
Course is getting much better
I’ve played here for several years once or twice a month. The conditions had gotten pretty poor with tee boxes and greens being bare. Great news is with the MUD purchasing the course and a new management company the course is now in good shape. Remodeled clubhouse and restaurant are great. Dave Esch is still the head pro and now that he has something to work with the changes are impressive. Great job Dave and the entire staff!!
It should cost less
I haven't played here for a while due to the cost increase. While they've added some things to the overall club, the greens are in need of maintenance and the tee boxes are rock solid.
Pecan Grove Starter
The starter was rude and condescending. Not a good experience.
