Cedar Creek Country Club
About
The first course developed along Cedar Creek Lake, this one opened in 1967 as part of a rural retirement community. The course’s namesake waterway slinks its way through the course, coming into play six times as you wind your way through the tree-lined fairways.
Holes of note include the 470-yard, par 4 No. 6, which dives through a chute of trees to a large green. Thankfully, this monster is void of hazards. On the back No. 13 is feast or famine–a short par 5 at 483 yards, but a pond sits in the middle of the fairway. The ender at Cedar Creek goes 520 yards and is fairly manageable if you can keep it out of the trees.
Getting there : From Hwy. 175 east, take the Kemp exit, and look for the signs to the course.

Hidden Gem
I play all the courses around cedar Creek Lake & Canton area, by far my favorite course. Excellent green size, shapes and true rolls. Very player friendly. Staff did a wonderful job this tine of year with leaf control We will be back.
Excellent Course
Love this course. I've played it about 5 times and if it were closer to my house I would play it every week. Greens are in great shape right now. Love the layout. Has some short fun holes and some long holes that are usually in to the wind so they play even longer. Lots of trees so fairways are a premium.
GREAT COURSE TO PLAY
GREAT COURSE.WOULD PLAY MANY TIMES
Nice day of golf
Course was alittle dry and had some brown spots on the fairways!!! Greens were somewhat soft but rolled really fast!!!! Only complaint I have is that we never saw the cart girl the entire round, they did have plenty of coolers filled wit fresh cold water!!!!
Awesome course
This course is really a nice course, the staff was really friendly and knowledgeable. Golfnow now afford a good deal and it was worth the fifty mile drive from Dallas , just make sure you bring some bug spray the nats was bad. The greens was a little slow for me but I will definitely play this course again.
Look out for the Dogs!
Nice course in good condition. The greens are really hard to read and the front plays much faster than the back 9. The only real problem are the people who live around the course. In the afternoons you have people walking their dogs riding in a carts and are always in the way and sometimes they just let the dogs run along side the carts and they run across the tee box. Then you have walkers and joggers on the course too. If you don't mind the interruptions it's a nice place to play.
Great value
For high handicap women golfers it's a long course but not much trouble to get in. Water on just a couple of holes with short distances to cross. Most greens are elevated. Well manicured and clean. Restrooms on the course as well as on the turn.
Beautiful course and great people
This is a great course for a road trip. Right off Hwy 175. The course is in great shape and plays well. The staff and members are some of the friendliest people I have ever met on a golf course. I would recommend this course to everyone. I will be back there many times.
Greens can be difficult to read
The course was in pretty good shape and not crowded. The fairways had been aerated but that only marginally affected play. The grass on the greens was a little thin in a few places but didn't interfere with play. The greens were firm and pretty fast down grain. The greens take some getting used to, at least for me, because they can be hard to read. That only means I have to go back and get more experience. The staff is friendly in the pro shop and restaurant. I would recommend this course to anyone.
lots of fun
nice course, challenging,
we will play again
one of our top courses
A course to check out
Very nice course. They aren't lying how tough it can be when the wind is blowing out of the south. Nice size greens and wide fairways.
