Cedar Creek Country Club
About
The first course developed along Cedar Creek Lake, this one opened in 1967 as part of a rural retirement community. The course’s namesake waterway slinks its way through the course, coming into play six times as you wind your way through the tree-lined fairways.
Holes of note include the 470-yard, par 4 No. 6, which dives through a chute of trees to a large green. Thankfully, this monster is void of hazards. On the back No. 13 is feast or famine–a short par 5 at 483 yards, but a pond sits in the middle of the fairway. The ender at Cedar Creek goes 520 yards and is fairly manageable if you can keep it out of the trees.
Getting there : From Hwy. 175 east, take the Kemp exit, and look for the signs to the course.

Great day of golf
Great day of golf, Love this place it's my all time favorite. Greens were very fast and in great shape for coming out of winter time. Staff is super nice.
Favorite Course ever!
I have started playing this course on a regular basis and love it. The greens are great and fairways are good as well. They have cut back some of the trees which should let a little more grass grow in on the edges of the fairways. The staff is great! I look forward every weekend playing here.
Don’t play this time of year
The rough is very tall and thin. The balls drop down and can’t find them. With all the trees the leaves are bad and can’t find your balls in the leaves

Very enjoyable, good layout, but the course is so dry and it was very windy. This course is very enjoyable to play. Thanks
One of the prettiest in texas
Great views of the lake and lots of trees. My wife and I loved it.
The club house is very nice and the bar is second to none.
Really love the course!
Great course, great staff, hoping to join the club. The layout is really nice. Fairways are tight in spots but not to much. Just a real fun course!
Greens were just punched and sanded the day before and they didn't work the sand in so it was like putting in a sand box!!! The rest of the course was in great shape!!!
Beautiful course
Great people in the Pro shop. The starter was very helpful. Fairways and greens were in great condition. Good variety of hole layout. I will play here the next time I come to Sedona
Great course, fantastic staff! Love this place.
Great course. The staff was absolutely fantastic. Sure looking forward to coming back soon.
Very pleased!
We were joined by 2 other golfnow members & really enjoyed the round of golf here. The club house was outstanding & the golf course was maintained very well. I can only suggest the course have more arrows to the next hole in certain locations & better yard markings for the 100 yards. Red post would help.
Beautiful course
The only negative was the condition of the golf carts but it appears that new ones are on the way. We thought that this was one of the most scenic and best laid out course that we have played in the area.
Play the course
Play the course but stay away from the members. They don't seem to like non-members.
The course is in great shape the greens are almost totally back (aerated).
Staff was very nice. If you are not a member don't play 8:00-10:00 on Friday-Sunday. They will not like you.
Great pace of play until we got behind a group of 5-some members
Nice course
First time to play this course. Greens were in great shape and rolled well .The course has some long par 4's. The course was laid out well and fairways were wide enough to not punish you for an errant shot. the course is in a community, but I never felt that houses and yards were in play on the fairways.
the folks that worked there were friendly and helpful.
I had a great experience
Definitely a course I will come back to and would recommend to friends.
East Texas gem!
We really enjoyed playing this course. Greens were beautiful for winter greens and rolled perfect. Fairways were a bit shy of grass but hey it's winter! The people running this place were just the best. We will certainly be back, you can bet on it.
Played this course 30 years ago.
First time to play the course in over 30 years. Enjoyed the layout then, and do now.
Greens are excellent in my opinion. Fairways a little thin (normal fall and winter status) but playable. Our foursome played in approximately 4 hours and 30 minutes. Never rushed by fellow golfers.
Hidden Gem
I play all the courses around cedar Creek Lake & Canton area, by far my favorite course. Excellent green size, shapes and true rolls. Very player friendly. Staff did a wonderful job this tine of year with leaf control We will be back.
Excellent Course
Love this course. I've played it about 5 times and if it were closer to my house I would play it every week. Greens are in great shape right now. Love the layout. Has some short fun holes and some long holes that are usually in to the wind so they play even longer. Lots of trees so fairways are a premium.
