Pinnacle Golf Club
About
Formerly known as Arrowhead Country Club, Pinnacle opened in 1970 as a 9-hole track nestled on the cozy banks of Cedar Creek Lake. Tough times descended and the course was shut down before reopening with an additional nine and new ownership in the 1980s.
Dallas’ eastward growth has turned many onto the pleasant, rural atmosphere at Pinnacle Golf Club. Every hole is lined with trees and, despite its short length, the course is particularly tough because of the numerous dogleg fairways. Not counting the par 3s, 11 of 14 holes have doglegs. Because of the trees it’s recommended that you leave the driver in the bag.
The toughest hole is No. 15, a par 5 that goes 511 yards and offers a testy risk-reward decision. With a good drive into the wide-open fairway, going for it in two is possible by cutting the lake on the left side of the fairway.
Getting there : From Hwy. 175 east, find the town of Eustace and turn right on Hwy. 316. Drive. Turn right on Hwy. 316 and drive 5.5 miles to Clear Creek Rd. Turn right again and follow the signs to the course.

20 yrs later
It’s about 20 years since I made it back to Pinnacle and it’s as nice a course as I remembered. The course was in great shape and greens are still fast and challenging. I will be back.
The Pinnacle of East Texas Courses
I enjoy visiting this course! Staff always friendly and ready to meet your needs! Course stays in good shape and is solid for the novice golfer and just challenging enough for a seasoned golfer!
Unbelievable Experience
If you're looking for a top-notch golfing experience in Texas, The Pinnacle Golf Club certainly lives up to its reputation as the 8th ranked course in the state. My recent visit was nothing short of spectacular, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone seeking a memorable day on the greens.
Course Quality
The course itself was as good as advertised. The layout was challenging yet enjoyable, providing a great mix for both seasoned players and beginners. Despite the course being packed, we managed to complete our round in just four hours, which is impressive, especially with two beverage carts circulating throughout the day. The attentive service from the staff made the experience even more enjoyable.
Pro Shop and Staff
The Pro Shop team was incredibly accommodating and friendly. They went above and beyond by walking over to pair us up with another group, ensuring we had a fantastic time and met some great fellow players. Their willingness to help truly enhanced our experience.
Dining Experience
After our round, we indulged in some food, and I must say, the quality and service were outstanding. The menu offered a great selection, and everything we ordered was delicious, making it the perfect end to a wonderful day of golf.
Overall Recommendation
In summary, The Pinnacle Golf Club is a must-visit for any golf enthusiast. From the excellent course conditions to the friendly staff and exceptional dining, every aspect of our visit was top-notch. I wholeheartedly recommend The Pinnacle to anyone looking for a premier golfing experience.
Not a country club feel
I’ve played there many times hoping my experience would change, it did not. The course it littered with debris and sink holes. The woman that works in the pro shop has been extremely rude to us each time we have seen her. The course charges a premium but delivers you a less than acceptable return. I would look into other courses in area
Just keeps getting better
Do yourself a flavor and go play Pinnacle. It just keeps getting better. Greens are fast and pure. Very challenging course considering that it's a 7000+ yard monster. Friendly staff.
Interesting & Fun Course
The course is short with trees lining most fairways; the greens are really fun with a lot of curvature and levels. Its a fun course if you cant hit it long. I saw tons of deer & the scenery is beautiful.
Best Overall Experience in 2025
I've played several courses this year all over Dallas!
Pinnacle was in unbelievable condition, the F&B was fantastic and the pace of play was great due to the number of players . I give this course a top 3 in North Texas easily .

Course Conditions
The course conditions were the best I've ever seen out there . Looks as good as any nice Club in Dallas
Keeps getting better
This course just keeps getting better every time I play it. You can tell they are putting lots of effort into making it a great experience. Friendly shop staff.
