Kings Creek Country Club

About
From the tips, Kings Creek can play particularly tough because of the prevailing winds off the shores of Cedar Creek Lake. However, on calm days this course can be had, since the layout is fairly basic and features water on only six holes. In the late 1980s, the course became known for its improving condition, and that reputation has held true over the years.
The front nine is shorter and a little easier than the front, its toughest hole being the 200 -yard No. 3 over water. No. 14 typifies the longer back: a 576-yard marathon with water on either side of the fairway.
Getting there : From Dallas, take I-175 south, then turn right on Hwy. 274. The course is 2 miles down the road.

I thought this place was amazing! The staff was so friendly, all the amenities were perfect (I came on a Wednesday morning so not much was going on) but it still looks like a fun time on the weekend. I don’t have any complaints, but if I were to have one, it would be the range balls getting away on hole 10 and 18. So it’s just kinda hard to track down your ball. But anyone can get over that.
Kings creek
Lots of water hazards. Gotta play spot ball on several holes, challenging it was. Greens need work, lot of sand in placea on green for repairs and very slow.
Weird
No where in the description does it say you NEED a collard shirt. Poor job by management and whoever is doing yalls online work, white guy at the counter takes his job too serious. I’ve played here in the past, twice actually without a collard shirt so I’m not understanding.
Great place
Nice layout and great pace of play on a Saturday. Highly recommended
Kings Creek
Some greens have weeds and bare spots and need improvement. Fairways are ok.
Nice
Not a bad place To go. driving range balls get in your way on the 10th and 18th .
Terrible
Not even worth my time on a full review. Don’t waste your time going here if your priority is golf. That said, the staff was all very nice but the course is dog poo.
Great Course Experience
Took my 12 year son for his first golf course experience. Staff was friendly & helpful. Patrons were all courteous & friendly. We had a great time. Definitely returning soon.
Discourse used to be quite rundown but with a new management I played it two months ago and I could see there were improvement. I played it yesterday. Totally new course really like this course will definitely start playing it more often. They’ve done a great job with this greens are perfect.
Kings Creek
Excellent course tucked away off the highway that offers a challenge to all skill levels. Greens and fairways were kept up and in great condition, and it had plenty of water hazards and bunkers to add to the challenge. Will definitely come back here to play again in the future.
Nice golf carts
Cleanest carts I've seen outside a country club.
Course in good shape and you can tell they are working to get it in better shape. Food and drinks were good. Will play again.
Kings Creek Country Club makes you feel like Royalty
I took a friend here to play for their birthday and we had the best time. We hit a bucket of balls on the driving range before setting out to play 18 holes. The golf carts were super comfortable, drove great, had an ice chest, and working USB port to charge or power devices. The courts itself was well maintained, lots of water features, bridges, and fun holes that made it challenging, but not too hard. The greens were well maintained and played well. The drink cart girl was super friendly and had ice cold beverage options to keep us hydrated on the course. All of the water coolers along the way were well stocked with ice cold water to refill our water bottles as we played. The attendants in the clubhouse were friendly, welcoming, and helpful and while the course and clubhouse were nice, they did not feel stuffy. We ate lunch at the bar between the front and back 9. I had the hotdog and fries and my friend had the BLT and we both had Bloody Marys. The Hotdog was grilled on the grill to perfection and so was the bun and both had a great flavor. The BLT was excellent and served on Texas Toast with delicious crunch bacon. The bloody marys were made with Zing Zang and perfect for our round. I will definitely play here again and look forward to doing so.
Nothing to write home about
The greens were not well maintained and there was a hole that was completely flooded out but no signs or communication on how to get around and keep playing. We ended up wasting 15 minutes going all the way back around to get to the next hole. I was hoping to take my husband to a really nice course for Father’s Day but we could have paid a ton less at a closer and nicer course.
