From the tips, Kings Creek can play particularly tough because of the prevailing winds off the shores of Cedar Creek Lake. However, on calm days this course can be had, since the layout is fairly basic and features water on only six holes. In the late 1980s, the course became known for its improving condition, and that reputation has held true over the years.
The front nine is shorter and a little easier than the front, its toughest hole being the 200 -yard No. 3 over water. No. 14 typifies the longer back: a 576-yard marathon with water on either side of the fairway.
Getting there : From Dallas, take I-175 south, then turn right on Hwy. 274. The course is 2 miles down the road.

going downhill quickly
I took my 8 year old grandson and I to play on a Thursday afternoon. The charge was $75 for a child and a senior. When I question the cashier, was told prices go up. We were behind an older 4sum, who was taking 30 minutes a hole having conversations after finishing a hole before moving on. Since they have no Marshall, had to skip holes. The fairways were half sand and hardpan and grass. Cart paths were undriveable on the back nine. Thankfully, it started raining and we quit and did not have to finish the round. Many nicer courses around for this price

Excellent greens and the layout of the course is a lot of fun! Staff is awesome. Clubhouse is fantastic!

OK , could be a lot better with some attention
Course layout is great. Lots of water, and used to make for some interesting holes . Only problem is the back 9 is in bad shape . Front 9 is good , the back 9 looks neglected, both the fairways and the cart paths .
Hidden Gem!
It’s a beautiful course, which I now call my home course! I do not get tired or bored of this course. It’s challenging, yet fun to play! I’m impressed with the friendliness of the staff and greenskeepers amazing job with the overall experience!
Good value
Great value course with pleasant staff. The holes on front 9 have elevated tee boxes and a doglegs. The back 9 is flat but has water almost on every hole which creates a unique track. Only drawback is the fairways had some fairways with bad or little grass; especially on the back 9.
Only back nine open
Didn’t know that the front nine was closed due to the overseeding of the greens. Made the pace of play extremely slow due to everyone playing just the back nine. Would have chosen another course that day.
