About
Meadowbrook Golf Course, whose original 18 holes dates back to circa 1930, offers 36 holes of golf with its Canyon and Creek Courses. Ralph Plummer laid these out back in the 1940s, Warren Cantrell put his signature here in 1955, then Bob Lohmann came along for another renovation in 1988. The more challenging Creek Course at Meadowbrook has narrow fairways and requires a shot-maker's touch. The Creek's sixth hole is the toughest: a par 3 playing 230 yards from the tips.

Where are the fairways?
Horrible conditions in the fairway. Just an awful place to play.
Needs Mowing
The grass hasn’t been mowed in weeks. The grass is so thick in some areas it’s easy to lose a ball in it. The price for this course should be lower with this quality.
The grass mowing has not been ideal this year with only one fairway unit that is not dependable. We are diligently working to fix this issue and hope you will come back out for another try.

Staff was very good. Had to go earlier than teatime. I set up. Course look very good.

Course looked very good.
The course itself is in fantastic condition but the quality of golfers 1000% ruined the day for my 8 year old son and I. At one point there was 3 groups of 4 people on hole 12 with my son and I waiting to tee off. The pace of play was an absolute disaster bc the groups thought they were better than they actually were and it was clearly obvious.
Nice green but extremely slow!
Greens were extremely slow, the bunkers are just hard pan dirt and the rough is mostly weeds and rocks. Nice lay-out and fairways are in decent shape. I haven't played this course in years and was pleasantly surprised how much better it is compared to then.

Low Bar to Clear
The course itself isn’t in good condition. The fairways are very hard and it’s difficult to make a proper divot with an iron. There is also some areas that have no grass at all or even have rocks scattered everywhere. Tee boxes and greens are fine. Everything in between is not great. There are not many places to play in Lubbock, so Meadowbrook almost has a monopoly on the area. You can go to Rawls, but it’s dramatically more expensive. It hurts even more when Meadowbrook raises its prices and doesn’t do anything to improve its course.
We are disappointed to hear that you did not enjoy your experience at our course. Improvements have been made along with our fee increases, and improvements will continue to be made in the future.
Creek course
Tee time was for the Creek Course. Yardage is deceiving, layout was good. Many dog leg lefts and long par 3’s. Par 5’s were short but overall fun. Fairways hard and dry. Greens were in good shape. Tee-boxes need plenty of TLC. All the staff we came across was nice and for a hot West Texas day, the cart girl was a sight for sore eyes. When visiting again, will play again.

Don’t do it!!
I lost six balls that were piped down the fairway. They allowed a group of seven to play and they wouldn’t let anyone through. This place used to be a nice course, it’s a dump now and it’s a shame. The city owns the course so maybe they need to step it up.
Andrew, we are sorry to hear we did not meet your expectations. We never allow groups larger than 5 however and broke that group up immediately.
