About
Developers eventually had their way with this cow pasture on the fringe of Houston. Loaded with native pecans and oaks and supplemented with even more transplanted trees, the terrain is ideal for golf, with two creeks and five natural lakes on the property. In fact, it's good enough to host the PGA Tour's Houston Open in 1973 and 1974.
The traditional El Dorado Course plays to a par 70 and features five par 3s that go 190-yards-plus from the tips. Jay Riviere designed the back nine.
Jeff Blume managed the redesign and complete renovation of the El Dorado Course in 2009.

ridiculously slow. 5.5 hours.
Two groups ahead of me; 25+ handicappers playing from the slope 135 tees. give me a break. saw marshall 3 or 4 times. obviously he did not force these groups. demand they pick up and move on. if they start a conflict, the marshall should give them "full refund" tickets to tak eback to the pro shop, get their money back, and never come back to the course until they have learned was pace of play entails. you might lose 4 goofballs for asking them to leave, but who cares? now you lost me and 3 other sub-15's from risking another day at your course.
Grip it and rip it!
Fairways are wide. greens are fast starter was cool. Club house guy was rude. Was not a fan of golf now. It is what it is
Great value, terrible staff.
When I arrived early to check in. The person in the pro shop just looked at me, I said good morning, he just looked at me and said nothing. I mentioned my tee time and he still did not say must asking for my last name while looking it up . The golf course is in outstanding shape, so as I stated great value, terrible staff.
ElDorado Course
Course is in great condition. Lucked out and only had one group in front of me who were nice enough to let me play through. Finished in 2.5 hrs playing alone. Price was great on GolfNow. Hard to beat. I’m
Beautiful course, but bring lots of balls!
This course is challenging and has a beautiful layout. But there is a lot of water and some narrow fairways so I always lose a good number of balls. Definitely worth playing!
Overall, I am satisfied and plan to visit next time.
Considering our summer and the heat, the course was in great condition. Great day!
