The Golf Club at Margaritaville Lake Resort, Lake Conroe

The golf carts to start out with old and out of date. The phone charger did not work. The course condition was poor to fair, some of the greens have so many lumps in them that it made it hard to putt. The cart paths are in horrible condition and extremely rough broken concrete. The GPS for two apps were reversed. Hole one is hole 10 on the apps.

The holes are quite long, but the course is in excellent shape for the price point. Played for $32 a person during the week. Definitely one of the best deals in the northern Houston area.

Course is looking good layout is great. But the pace of play and staff isn’t the best in town

Course greens had just been aerated and we were told to play 2nd 9 holes twice as first 9 were being aerated that day. Heavy aeration holes on all greens. Putting was just luck. Tee boxes also aerated and long muddy plugs left all over tee box at #14. Course should not have been open for play in the condition it was in.

Nice corse in pretty good shape. Not resort type conditions but it’s definitely getting better and you can see that Margaritaville is putting money into it.

Have played here 4 times spanning over the past year and every time I go I feel like it has improved somehow. Nice scenery on most holes and enjoyable course to play. Not too difficult of a course and fairly easy to find balls that are not hit in fairway.

We keep coming back to play this course over and over. The staff are always friendly, the bar makes good drinks, and we haven’t had a bad round here yet. They consistently take good care of the course, and the course has a little of everything to challenge you.

Played this course for years until Margartaville took over. Didn’t seem to invest in turf or amenities.. played because I could find the tee time I needed anywhere else. SO MUCH improved. Was glad I played. They flipped the 9’s so it plays so much better. Better flow and time management. Greens were flawless with the exception of one/two very small spots on back 9. I would definitely recommend and play again. Good job bringing the course back.

I played this course about 8 years ago and was not impressed. Gave it another shot today and it is an absolute 180 from what it was like then.

The course is in great shape. Fairways we excellent and the greens were great. Only one green has any noticeable work that needed to be done.

My only complaint would be the “miss” areas. Really tough to find your ball in some areas if you miss the fairway. But that’s on my and my golf game!

It was wet so tough to gauge the traps but they were still playable.

Very enjoyable course that I will certainly play again soon!

played Sunday the 30th, driving range closed due to water. bummer, fairways and greens in good shape, some areas needed mowing... probably hampererd from course wetness.. but once the weather stabilizes and they can consistently mow, course will be fabulous

The course was good. I've played equally decent courses for half the price. The beverage price was extremely high.
