The Golf Club at Margaritaville Lake Resort, Lake Conroe

Staff is super friendly, pro shop, and cart people are great. The issue I had was minor pace of play and also administrative things. Way too many groups of 6 playing and also guys blasting music where you can hear it 2 holes down. Some of the holes could use TLC especially the fairways. Greens were decent, holes definitely present a challenge. I would go back and play but maybe just a week day not a weekend.

The course was in great shape. Had some slow groups in front of us but after a call to the pro shop they sent out someone to resolve the issue. On the last four holes we encountered some idiot who was setting up a tri-pod recording every shot and hitting multiple balls each time. He was a horrible player so just be on the lookout for this clown.

Good course. Some tight fairways with trees, water, and pine needles that can make wayward shots hard to find. Greens were mostly in decent shape and very receptive. Two of them were in bad shape but you can tell they are trying to recover them from the recent years or drought. Front nine greens rolled quite slower than the back nine, but ran smooth.

Friendly staff and quick play in the mornings. Friendly bar worker and cart prep.

The golf carts to start out with old and out of date. The phone charger did not work. The course condition was poor to fair, some of the greens have so many lumps in them that it made it hard to putt. The cart paths are in horrible condition and extremely rough broken concrete. The GPS for two apps were reversed. Hole one is hole 10 on the apps.

The holes are quite long, but the course is in excellent shape for the price point. Played for $32 a person during the week. Definitely one of the best deals in the northern Houston area.

Course is looking good layout is great. But the pace of play and staff isn’t the best in town

Course greens had just been aerated and we were told to play 2nd 9 holes twice as first 9 were being aerated that day. Heavy aeration holes on all greens. Putting was just luck. Tee boxes also aerated and long muddy plugs left all over tee box at #14. Course should not have been open for play in the condition it was in.

Nice corse in pretty good shape. Not resort type conditions but it’s definitely getting better and you can see that Margaritaville is putting money into it.
