Accommodating Large Group
Thank you for accommodating our group of 16 this past Saturday, July 14th. The driving range is one of my coolest I’ve ever seen. The course was amazing shape and pace of play wasn’t an issue.
Looking forward to playing this course again in the near future.
Great Golf Experience
This is not my first time playing Loggers. I play here yearly, since it opened, and was not much more then a horse track. The course has matured into a fantastic location. There are challenges for every level of golfer. There are holes that are links style to holes that are typical north woods style. The course management continues to support updates so year to year you will witness improvements. In my experience, the employees standout. All are friendly and want to be sure you have a memorable outing. They also have a great practice area with professional instruction. The course is really worth playing.
Great Golf
Great Golf and great weather. This was the perfect day for golf. My score may not be the best but golfing here was great. fast greens and fair fairways.
Fun course with a unique practice facility
Loggers is a great course with a wonderful practice facility. It is very unique and I liked it alot, the range ties in a replica island green of #17 at Sawgrass. They also have some smaller putting greens with areas to chip from, it is nicely landscaped and is a neat little area with a backyard type feel. Very cool. Course was awesome, fun course with a few holes that scream at you to pull the trigger and take a few risks. Some of the routing of the paths is interesting but you will find your way. I have always heard good things about this course and I can vouch that they were correct. The staff is also very nice which is always good. As always, paying for range balls is a bothersome point for me. I have always known Loggers as a "Top class" type of course (highly rated by many publications) and most of those courses offer range balls with the purchase of your round. This isn't a huge deal but it does put some separation between courses in my mind. All in all its a nice place with a fun track, I recommend playing here.
Playing at Logger's Trail
I have been playing league golf here for a number of years. The course holds some challenging holes, but forgiving on a number of holes as well. Fairways for the most part are slightly narrow, greens are of moderate size, but hard to read (challenging). Links- style moguls off the fairways can be especially difficult with the length & thickness of the grass. Staff is excellent and the pro, Brandon, is an excellent instructor for those interested in lessons. Try a round here, you won't be disappointed.
nice variety of holes
The course was in very nice shape and some very eye appealing hole layouts.
Slow play thurs. afternoon
The pace of play was suprising as i have not noticed that in my previous rounds there. I normally play in the morning. This afternoon round was painfully slow and the group in front of me had to wait on every hole. I came close to quitting after 9 holes but stuck it out because i wanted the practice.
Unhappy with GolfNow
Unhappy I had an emergency come up and had to cancel the tee time on Monday morning I could not find anyone to cancel the tee time at golf now I will never use this service again I lost two tee times at Loggers Trail and my cash
Greg
We reached golf now, and they made things right with Greg.
Peaceful Afternoon
Loggers Trial is in good shape and is playing very well!! The greens are cut tight and it allows you to putt what you read. For the average to better golfer this is a nice yet challenging course. Enjoy!
Disappointing
Pace of play was slow. Course is scenic but turf conditions are average at best. There was a general lack of supervision from no starter in the starters station to lack of effective rangering. Some of the players on the premises were not serious golfers and were there to party. Players who were there to actually play a round of golf found it difficult with unruly drinking golfers who management chose to ignore. The experience we had is what one might expect at a course that charges half that amount.
We appreciate taking the time to give us a review. We're sorry that you didn't have a great time. We hope you enjoy yourself the next time you're out.
Better than I expected
I didn't know what to expect with a "loggers" course in Stillwater. Service was okay, typical bar-counter golf shop. Course layout is fairly flat but interesting and challenging, although there is some work-in-progress ( the fake creek on 18).
Thank you for the good review. We hope next time you can think of our service was better than okay, our goal is to have top notch service.
Great value
— 4 of us (bogey golfers) played 18 holes with a cart in 4:20
— the course was in great shape for early season play
— not much interaction with the staff, but everyone was nice
— we got the Hot Deal for $37, and it was a great deal for the quality of golf course
— the two 9s are substantially different layouts and geography; it takes different skill sets as a golfer to manage
— clubhouse is nothing special, but we did not use it for much other than paying and post-round drinks
Thank you for the good review.
Good value and atmosphere
Went during the week, staff was super friendly and accommodating.
Thank you for the good review, that's exactly what we want to hear.
Thanks for coming out and taking the time to review us.
Horrible Ranger
The course is challenging but fun and was in really good condition, but the ranger was an overzealous jerk. We played the front 9 in about 2:08 and he talked to us on about 3 different holes about pace of play. We were a 4-some behind a 2-some and in front of a 3-some and were on pace for a 4:17 round. He ruined an otherwise great day of golf.
Tee time was 2:42pm. I respect pace of play and appreciate being a focus, but if you expect a 4-some to get through in 4 hours this early in the season, that's a bit rough.
Thank you for taking the time to review our course. We apologize that you didn't have a great experience. Pace of play is always a point of emphasis for us. What time did you tee off? We'd love more information so we can use this as a learning tool?
Thanks for taking the time to write a review. Fathers Day is our busiest day of the year. We kept the turn times right around 2 hours until about 1:30, when it got to 2:30 at it's highest. But the 11:30 group played the back in about an hour and a half and finished in 4 hours, so they were pleased.
