Lone Tree Golf Club & Hotel
About
Arnold Palmer and Ed Seay designed the course at the Lone Tree Golf Club & Hotel. Opened in 1986, the 18-hole, public course is immaculately maintained and very demanding. The course not only offers a challenging game but also beautiful panoramic views of Denver and the Rockies. It offers 7,054 yards of golf from its championship tees, playing to a par of 72. The natural landscape of the golf course features lakes and a stream, which create water hazards that come into play on many holes. The course is also well-bunkered. One the Lone Tree Golf Club & Hotel premises there are excellent practice facilities and a well-stocked pro shop.

Highly recommend
The greens had been aerated, so the course wasn't its normal "excellent".
The more you play it, more you like it
I used to not like Lone Tree. It seemed barren and difficult. Now I love it... intricate and makes you think about every shot and putt. Greens are always in great condition, rough is thick and makes you hack it out, when you can get a good price on the green fees, don't hesitate...
Great driving range, putting green and chipping and pitching area, good food, knowledgeable pro shop staff, country club atmosphere and very good pace of play for a public course.
Overpriced Nice Course
Aeration of greens should always be announced; price for non-residents, plus tax, no balls, no towels, not much water provided, refreshment cart in fairways, all show dedication to the buck, not the customer.
Great urban course
I would give this course a top ten best - IF it weren't in the middle of so many crowded together houses and IF it didn't have so many streets and so much traffic noise. I like to relax in nature when I play, and this is not the course for that. However, the course is very beautiful, somewhat more difficult than moderate, it is well maintained and the clubhouse food is really good and also a good value. This is a long course and being a big hitter helps, but if you play accurately it's also fine.
