Nice 27 holes
Lack of water this past summer has hurt the course. A couple of really bad greens and one really bad fairway. Otherwise, courses were good for this time of year. Range balls cost extra $5 pp on top of greens fees.

Good course for the money
The course is decent and staff are awesome. Greens need work. It’s a good course for the money and not too crowded.

PGPCC is my home course
I've played at several other local courses lately and some are in poor condition while others are in better. I'd say with the heat we have had, and the maintenance that the course has been doing in several areas, PGPCC is in pretty decent shape. You can hop on any of the 3 courses and play without any issues, and still have alot of fun. People are friendly and the pace of play is comfortable. Last year I became a member pretty quickly after I was invited to play as a guest by a friend. I usually play twice a week now and my wife, son and daughter all like to play as well. Family time on the course is unbeatable, no matter how hot, dry or nice it is outside.

Poor course condition
Fairway was in bad condition for certain holes where drainage was poor followed by patches that were not marked GIR and drainage channels being dug in the middle of the fairway. Greens were in poor shape and divots were not repaired especially on the 18th Plantation.

Ok
Greens not the best, probably due to the heat we had this summer. Several of the bu kers were very dirt like hard, no fluff in the sand.

Pecac Grove
Some of the greens where in bad shape. A few tee boxes were barren and nothing but dirt.

Enjoyed a day of golf
Considering the area is in a major drought the course is not in that bad of shape. A few green have a small amount of bad spots. I enjoyed playing 18 holes at Pecan Grove.

PG pecan top plantation
Pecan was in great shape, plantation however needs some help. Greens were good while the fairways were terrible.

A dying course.
Played this course for years and seemingly getting worse each year as the green fees get more expensive.
I understand the affect the drought has had on courses but this has been the worst I’ve seen throughout Houston by far. Tee boxes are pure dirt/sand. Fairways are scorched, separated all the way to the greens and they are either half dead, cratered or a mixture of both.
The members that play out there that we encountered were unfriendly, entitled and didn’t care for others pace of play. The staff/starter overall were very nice.
It’s a shame because it’s a fun 3 9-hole course setup but it needs extreme TLC.

Do Not Play This Course
Very rude staff and management. 2 of the 9 hole courses are in poor shape, with one of them “Grove” almost unplayable. Spend an extra $20 to play at a much nicer course.

This course used to be one of my favorites. It either needs a major capital injection or shut down.
