Course was in good shape
Course was in fairly good condition, tees were a little on hard side, greens were in good shape, could use some water on them . But overall the course was in good shape and for the money was worth it.

Tee boxes were as hard as a rock. The bunkers iwewe as hard as a rock. Golf course was OK. Not in the best of shape. But not bad. Once I left the pro shop I didn’t see a staff member the whole day. Overall the course is an OK layout.

First time playing at PG

Pace was alright
My late start time put me as a single right between two walking foursomes of a high school golf team practice and it couldn’t have been a better pace for a hot day with 109 degree heat. After the front nine, the kids were done. My pace sped up (I play ready golf), and I shot five strokes worse on my back nine. I’ve got to learn to slow my roll in the heat. I didn’t have my golf watch so I was getting yardages off whatever sprinkler heads and yard stakes I could find. I’m spoiled…I like GPS. Number 17 looks further approaching the green (Plantation course) and I mistook the 100 yd marker in front of the water for 150. Course designer’s trick…optical illusion. Don’t forget the golf watch!

First time Visiting Pecan Grove Golf course
The check in was very easy and friendly staff in pro-shop. 5 dollars for unlimited balls to warm up with was nice. Driving range had chipping and bunker area so practice facilities were top notch. grass not artificial turf. every hole had a decent coarse overview sign so no "surprise" hazards. Bundler were well maintained and playable. fairways were receptive and curt well despite drought conditions in southern Texas. Only real complaint was although the greens were in good condition they we quite slow. overall.
