The Club at Pecan Grove - Plantation/Pecan

Greens are improving, but still pretty bad. Otherwise a decent course.

Played this course several times in the past and was always pleased. Now, Course needs maintenance ! Played the Pecan/Plantation combo. Most fairways are OK. Many greens look like nobody cares. One had 3 depressions near the collar that looked like an elephant had walked there. Others had maybe 5 to 25 % actual "green" and the rest was dirt/mud. Not what you would expect from a country club. Food at the bar after golf was very good and all staff were friendly. Also, bring mosquito spray...you'll be glad you did.

We had a pretty mild winter this year. The fairways were in very good shape. Unfortunately the green are no where near ready for play. We simply picked up our balls and moved on some of the greens

I play a couple times a year and I am a 9 handicap. This was the first time playing at this club. The majority of the greens were not in great shape and had either dead grass/ sand spots or what looked like disease on a few greens on the back 9 / hole1. The cart wasn't prepped properly with no sand in the cart to fill divots. Unfortunately, I was really looking forward to playing here. But due to course conditions I may not play here again.

Fairways for the most part were in great shape. On the other hand, the greens were in bad shape for anytime of year. Im sure they overseeded some time back and it really showed. Green's were nothing but bumpy grass

When I first arrived the staff was very friendly and helpful. I encountered 3 staff members including the starter marshal. Very pleased. the course was in pretty good shape as far as the fairways and surrounding areas. However, the greens were almost unplayable. Most were very close cut with dirt showing thru. A few greens had depressions and dirt patches. Some had grass sprouts which affected your puts. I will not play there again. For the money it is not worth it. Clean up your course and due some maintenance. I remember this course back 10 years and it was beautiful. Now it looks tired and unkept. .

This course was in really bad shape. The staff was nice, however the course conditions were bad. Try pan on many fairways. Weeds on just about every green, and green conditions were bad to really bad on some. Not recommended to play this course if you are use to a golf course with grass on fairways and greens that roll.

Course layout was pretty good, but some of the greens were in very very very rough shape. Carts are a little hard to handle, but great experience!

$80 for a tee time + range.

I have never played a golf course with this many uneven tee boxes, greens were AWFUL. Dead spots all over the place, crab grass all over the greens, and on one hole the pin was placed on the tiny 10% of the green that didn’t look like it had just been tilled.

Management needs to review course conditions and adjust prices accordingly with the quality received. I just feel bad for the members who are paying monthly for this piece of garbage.

The management needs to improve on their skills in dealing with non member guests

These courses shouldn't be at the $69,95 + fees. We played the back nines at the Plantation course. Almost half of the greens are not playable due to the bad grass conditions. This course should be closed and reconditioned. I guess it would be silly to ask for a refund after we complete the game. For sure we are not playing here anymore!

The greens are in rough shape but the fairways are in good shape for the most part. Having the range included with the round at no extra charge is a huge plus though. I will be back and hope to see the greens improved.

As a semi-private club, you don’t have access to most amenities. As for the course, the greens were as bad as any I’ve ever played. Several have been completely lost, but they are still playing them. Staff was friendly, pace was good, nice course, but greens would keep me from recommending.

I was close to becoming a member here, not anytime soon. Early April in Houston should be almost peak time for course conditions. Not here. Tee boxes were like rocks. Fairways were decent but hard, yardage was marked, sprinkler heads were in tact with yardage. But the greens… more sand than grass, really some of the worst greens I’ve seen in a long time. Hopefully the new owners revive this place. Staff was great!! 2.75 stars…
