Cooden Beach Golf Club

Myself and 3 chums played Cooden, all for the first time and we all thought it was a lovely course, very well maintained, nice pace and consistently on the greens. Easy navigation of the holes, tee boxes well maintained.

The staff were really friendly and the bar area looking out to the 18th was splendid.

We will definitely be coming back. 😊

The staff on site a very friendly and helpful the bar is clean and tidy having had a recent refresh and the food is excellent.

The course itself was in fantastic condition given the recent dry weather the greens were perfect and very well cared for, the greenkeepers are doing amazing work.

The courses gentle on the knees being relatively flat in most places without standing views around the countryside.

Each hole is different to the last providing a great challenge for golfers of all levels.

Wind is a factor on this course depending on direction and strength.

I would highly recommend this course to golfers seeking a friendly golf excursion on a top-rated course.

Great green fee of £25 twilight for a good course.

Course is well laid out and a reasonable challenge. Well looked after and a pleasant Monday evening spent being the only person on the course.

One of the best golf courses in Kent or Sussex. Wonderful layout with course in very good condition. Everyone made me feel welcome, and fortunately, few golfers were playing on the mid-week afternoon I was there. I will return to improve my poor score & performance. Thank you Cooden Beach.

I played this course a couple of times when I was younger and always enjoyed it. It’s still a great course to play and would highly recommend.

We got to the course excited, was told there was 3 temp greens (charged full price) and then when we were out playing the first 6 holes were all temp greens, really ruined our momentum and excitement about playing, just putting a flag halfway up the fairway and not letting us know in advance is poor.

Everything in great condition but soft in places with all the recent rain. Really tough challenge with the wind but definitely makes you think!

Lovely course once again, great conditions and good pace of play.

Great course by the seaside, very flat and well kept, just avoid going in the rough where the grass can be thick and difficult to get out of.

The course played nicely despite some wet areas. The tees, fairways and greens were nicely cut and played well. The pro shop person was helpful and the staff at the clubhouse were polite. Overall a good afternoon of both golf and company.

Played the course on a Friday afternoon and had a really enjoyable round. Friendly staff in the pro shop got us underway promptly. Course you was in good condition and a different kind of challenge to the park land style courses I usually play. The easterly winds on the back nine made for totally new challenge from the front. Can’t comment on the facilities but looked nice. Worth a visit if in the area.

Wonderful Links style course exceptionally challenging when strong winds are blowing in from the sea. Not the first time playing this course and will definitely not be the last.

Really enjoyed the course and the greens were in very good condition. The only minor issue was that we booked a 2 ball and got there to be told we were in a 4 ball with 2 strangers, luckily it wasn’t too busy and the other 2 were able to get out ahead of us.

I'm genuinely surprised by all of the favourable reviews. Fairways were patchy and poorly maintained, even allowing for the recent hot weather. The layout is uninteresting, and you almost forget how close you are to the sea, such are the lack of views. The welcome was cool at best and the price is steep for what it is. You can play courses that are twice as good for half the price just a bit further along the coast or even inland towards Kent. Unchallenging course that is overrated and overpriced.

From the friendly welcome to the pleasant conversation in the bar the whole experience was a delight. Played here before over 18 years ago and the course is still in excellent condition and a joy to play. I would recommend this course to all my friends.
