About
Falconhead Golf Club sits just west of Austin in the midst of the scenic Hill Country, tumbling across a rolling landscape covered with knobby cedars and towering oaks. The challenging layout was designed to PGA standards, making it one of the most popular public golf courses in the area. The greens are fast and each is protected by at least one bunker. The golf course offers an interesting variety of holes that will require the use of every club in your bag. On windy days, the lengthy par 4s are especially tricky. Golfers will be faced with a variety of challenges on this course including dramatic uphill approaches, forced carries, blind shots, and doglegs. There are also meandering creeks that crisscross the course and a number of ponds that come into play. Falconhead Golf Club's signature hole is the beautiful par-3 17th, which will require your most accurate iron.

Great course, excellent scenery
Great course with challenging holes. Fast true greens. My only knock is the range. Much to be desired hitting off the artificial turf tee boxes. For the caliber of this course, range should be improved. Excellent chip and putt areas. Not a cheap place to play but definitely worth the money.

Pace of play horrible!
Pace of play was horrible, will never go to this course again. First of all, tee time started 15 minutes late and the round was 5 hours, no marshals on the course to do anything about the pace. Called the pro shop and they gave the same lame excuse i hate to hear about we are busy today but its not like they are fitting in players in between their normal tee time slots.
Also the course was not in that great shape, tee boxes were bad and fairways not that good. Plenty of courses in the Round Rock area which are cheaper and in better shape to play.

This is a fun course to play. They are doing a great job keeping it in good shape.
Falconhead First
The course is in great condition and slightly challenging. Really like the 8th hole. I will be back!
disappointing
the pace was so slow!! the three groups in front of us were slow!! frustrating me off that marshal isn't doing anything about it.

Very well kept course with great layout and views. Challenging but fair.
Careful if someone in your reservation doesn't show up.
Course was ok. Not sure if it is $440 ok. NOTE: If someone in your party doesn't show up, Falconhead will back charge you a week later. First time this has ever happened to me.
Expensive, but a great course
Open, but challenging. The fairways were in good shape. Some of the greens were a little shabby. Great practice facilities.
Wish the course marshall had driven around to encourage golfers to pick up the pace especially in this heat. Dont think they were putting for mega millions.
