Formerly beautiful course, now in ruins
Please do not waste your time and money playing this course. I used to play there regularly for several years after it opened and it was in absolutely fantastic condition, with greens to rival many private clubs.
I played there yesterday, for the first time in a couple of years and was horrified to see what had happened to the course. The greens are in ruins, the rough looks like it was last mowed a year ago, even the signs on the tee box for each hole which give the history of the hole have been boarded up.
I hate to have to say that I will never go back here, as it seems that the new management have no intention of maintaining the golf course and are instead more focused on making their money through the thriving restaurant that is on site.
Nice par 3, very friendly and welcoming staff
Staff is very welcoming, especially Jess, great service.
I got late and my friend 2 ball had to cancel. They accommodated me well.
Blue zenzer restaurant severs some delicious food, great place for 19th place.
Course is decent par three and we’ll maintained.
first time I felt like walking off a course in my life
Where do I start? Is the the fact that this is probably the course you are most likely to get killed on? Or that it was filthy with rubbish and looked like it was maintained by someone with no idea of how to do it. And as for the idea it mirrored major holes - what a joke!
it took over 2 hours to play 9 holes. Waiting on every hole. When leaving the queues were 4 deep on some holes. And some daft person on a greens mower thought it would be a good idea to cut the greens at 11am on a sunday morning. What about doing it during the week you fool;.
Balls would come flying past you without any warning. One nearly hit me, as players got more frustrated by the delays. And the design of the course means sometimes you are hitting the ball over other players on another tee. You also have to walk back down a fairway into oncoming balls to reach one tee box.
The greens were in good condition, if a little hard through lack of water. There are few sprinklers from what I could see. And all the greens were oversized compared to the fairways.
If sticking a false pond to one side of a fairway and saying it's the 16th at Augusta is deemed acceptable then so be it.
Needless to say I will never be returning. What a waste of a morning. .
very good course. the greens and fairways are very well maintained. there is a problem with players playing two ball and holding everyone else up, but otherwise to that it is a very good intermediate course at a reasonable cost. I would definitely play this course again.
Needs some upkeep
This could be a nice course, but lack of sand in bunkers is typical of minimal maintenance, the fact that2 holes cross each other on a busy day meant a few delays. However after being unable to play for 3 months it was great to get out and try to play.
You get what you pay for.
Long grass, confusing layout, crossing fairways, short holes but it was challenging at the same time. I played the early morning slot so the extra long grass meant I came back with soaked ankles (ironically the mower was out just as I left!) But it is what you expect when you only lay a few quid!!
The layout of the course and some of the holes are really challenging and quite picturesque also! I had the course practically to myself so could take my time perfecting my shots and setting myself different taregts, distances etc. Will go again just for that privilage to relax! Was about 2in from a hole-in-one on the last so that made the day better!
Decent course, SLOW play
A nice little course. Turned up early to hit some balls on the range. The lady behind the desk was polite but looked like she was running the whole place herself. When I mentioned my tee time she said I could just queue up whenever as it’s not really regulated. Given I booked online that also had a booking fee, it was disappointing to see 3 pairs lined up before me when it was my time to tee off. This led to it taking over 30 mins before being able to hit off the 2nd. I suspect that as it’s a par 9 some golfers were going around a second time as further round they either left of gave up and the last 5 holes went at an acceptable pace. Given the weather we’ve had the greens were in good condition, but don’t expect anyone repairing their pitch marks. But for £11 a round it is what it is. The holes are built to represent real life courses so am I allowed to say I Birdied Augusta? Because I will.
Thé course itself does exactly what it says on the tin. It’s in good condition also. Two par 4’s are good additional s for a small par3.
However the big issue was a queue at each hole to tee off . Took far too long to get around for such a small course
Convenient for a Solo round
This course is very small, compact and can get busy. It’s not ideal if you want to practice long drives as most holes are under 200 yards but good for using clubs other than your big driver. I find it good to have a quick round by myself and practicing with my irons and 5 wood. It’s very waterlogged in places this time of year but that’s not down to neglect as the keeper is constantly out attending the greens. It’s ideal if you live in the Harrow or Wembley area and have a spare hour.
Poor investment, golf course in poor condition throughout, fairways looks like a overgrown football pitch, greens are bumpy, bunkers are like cement. Have played here frequently, no green keepers on site. Over the past few years it has deteriorated astonishingly. Will no longer play here in the future.
Very friendly staff easy access to first tee found some of the tees a little confusing especially when slaw two people walking towards me as l was teeing off forget which hole around the fifth but enjoyed the days golf .
Signage needs improving
Overall great course for different levels, but so many people were getting confused with the holes. Signage needs repairing
Avoid the range and especially avoid the course. Just terrible! Hasn’t been updated or looked after for years!
The condition of the course and especially the greens very bad.
The crossover play between holes 5&6 - a health and safety hazard.
The manners of playing patrons bad.
Nothing good about this golf course.
Only for practice
I had some spare time so played this course as a warm up as I have had no golf since last year basically its an iron only course so good for using the mid irons. It was a wet course as it was after the snow ball plugged a lot and greens had just been tined so a little rough. Its ok for beginners
