Webb Hill Country Club
About
Funeral home man and golf fan Bobby Owens led the development of Webb Hill CC in 1969, and the Leon Howard-designed 18-hole course has served Wolfe City ever since. This course is heavily wooded, with narrow, undulating fairways and a good combination of interesting tee shots. Howard’s design involves a few blind tee shots that play uphill, as well as a few from elevated tees that offer good views of the holes ahead. Water comes into play on half the holes, and the large greens are of medium speed.
No. 8 is the signature, playing 590 yards and requiring two tough shots down a swerving fairway lined by a lake. The approach is nasty because of the skinny green that is covered by trees.
Getting there : From I-30 east towards Greenville, take Hwy. 34 north to FM 2358. Turn left and the course is just down the road on the right side.

Great Course
Fun but yet challenging. Terrain gives the course plenty of elevation changes. Course location makes it great for a fun and relaxed golfing experience. Fairways and greens are in excellent condition.
Love this place
This is a hidden gem, my previous review was critical of the greens...but they have since been repaired and this place is beautiful. My current favorite course to play, easy to get on and never very crowded.
Great Course - Friendly Staff!
This course is an absolute gem. The scenery is stunning with every hole framed by beautiful views, making it as enjoyable to walk as it is to play. The layout is challenging yet fair, offering a great test for golfers of all skill levels. What really sets it apart, though, is the staff—friendly, professional, and always willing to go the extra mile to make the experience outstanding. A must-play for anyone who loves the game.

Beautiful Setting
Beautiful course. It was getting dry which is understandable for late July. I could not figure out the greens. Unbelievably slow.
Super friendly clientele. As a single 2 groups waived me through. I’ve never experienced that at any course. Rarely will one group let you through.
I will definitely be back.
Great day in the sun
A friend and I checked out this course for the first time and was very pleased with our round. We’ll be back again
Nice course
Nice hard course the green are hard to read the course is really nice lots of trees and water for me it’s a hard course to play. The only downside to this course was the ground is to hard can’t get tee in the ground. But that’s most courses in Texas right now. They need a better food menu for the nonmembers. Other that that I would play it again
Pleased with the course.
The course has gotten better each of the past three or four years. First the greens were improved and are now in great condition. The fairways are increasingly improving and are in good playing condition.
The course is challenging, especially on the back nine, where accurate T-shots are imperative for a solid score. There are plenty of rolling hills and water hazards to avoid as well.
Hidden Gem
Would never have found this course without Golf now. Was a really fun course and surprisingly difficult. Lots of trees, elevation changes and tight fairways. Course was in good shape and had a fun time playing it.
Challenge accepted
Played early morning and arrived considerably earlier than my tee time. Pro shop staff told me that if the first hole was open and I wanted to go ahead and start. Fairways were great shape with the exception of one hole which was cart path only and soggy. The greens were in the best shape around. Ball rolled true and greens held approach shots very well. Staff very friendly and appreciative of my driving an hour and a half to play the course. Well worth the trip. Course is very challenging but fair.
