About
Funeral home man and golf fan Bobby Owens led the development of Webb Hill CC in 1969, and the Leon Howard-designed 18-hole course has served Wolfe City ever since. This course is heavily wooded, with narrow, undulating fairways and a good combination of interesting tee shots. Howard’s design involves a few blind tee shots that play uphill, as well as a few from elevated tees that offer good views of the holes ahead. Water comes into play on half the holes, and the large greens are of medium speed.
No. 8 is the signature, playing 590 yards and requiring two tough shots down a swerving fairway lined by a lake. The approach is nasty because of the skinny green that is covered by trees.
Getting there : From I-30 east towards Greenville, take Hwy. 34 north to FM 2358. Turn left and the course is just down the road on the right side.

Golfer Reviews
Just okay.
The course looks beautiful. The staff is fabulous. But the fairways while “green” in color, we basically hard as concrete underneath those short blades of grass. When striking your irons on most of the fairways, it was like golfing on compact dirt. I’d say half of the tee boxes and the tees wouldn’t even punch through that hard pack. I’ve never played a course like that where the ground was so rock hard, with a thin thin layer of grass on top. The looks are deceiving. When the ball struck the fairway, it bounced all over the place like it would when hitting a cart path. Very weird. So I can’t really give a higher rating. Just being honest.
Hidden Gem
It's super quiet over here. Highly recommend. Course layout is soild. Amenities could use some updates but that's really not what you'd come here for. Greens were impeccable for the heat of summer and play was super smooth. Could use some more signage but it was a fun adventure. Staff and fellow golfers were kind as well.
Hidden Jem
Two boxes and greens are in excellent shape probably the best hidden gem east of DFW.
Excellent!!!!
Greens were awesome fairways great tee box’s very well taken care of I’d love to go back sometime other then very hot but that’s not the courses fault
Great course
Greens in great conditions. Nice hills and countryside. Fast pace of play. Great time.
Enjoyable experience.
Beautiful scenery. Good rolling greens. Good fsirways. What more could you want. How about affordable!
Blind shots everywhere
This course is extremely hilly which is a little unusual for North Texas - there are many tee boxes that have a blind shot because the landing zone is beyond the crest of the next hill. The fairways are narrow, but the greens are in great shape.
