Webb Hill Country Club
About
Funeral home man and golf fan Bobby Owens led the development of Webb Hill CC in 1969, and the Leon Howard-designed 18-hole course has served Wolfe City ever since. This course is heavily wooded, with narrow, undulating fairways and a good combination of interesting tee shots. Howard’s design involves a few blind tee shots that play uphill, as well as a few from elevated tees that offer good views of the holes ahead. Water comes into play on half the holes, and the large greens are of medium speed.
No. 8 is the signature, playing 590 yards and requiring two tough shots down a swerving fairway lined by a lake. The approach is nasty because of the skinny green that is covered by trees.
Getting there : From I-30 east towards Greenville, take Hwy. 34 north to FM 2358. Turn left and the course is just down the road on the right side.

Webb Hill Country Review in Wolfe City
Great course out in the country. It was worth driving to for a relaxing round of golf. Tough greens on several holes made it more challenging and fun.
Incredible East Coast Course
I felt like I was back in Virginia. The course resembled many I have played in the Shenandoah Valley and it was in Texas. Tree lined fairways, hidden shots from valleys and challenging greens. It was tough, but I loved it. This is one of the best courses I have played in Texas. The staff and owner were pleasant and welcoming and the facilities are first class.
Nice Course
This is a very nice golf course. Once I made my reservation online, they called me to advise me that they had punched the greens the day before I played. This is something that was very courteous of them and something they weren't compelled to do. I appreciated that very much. Since I was working on my driver and iron play, I decided to go ahead and play the course. The layout was very good. The course was tree lined and very beautiful. There was a lot of water on the course but rarely came into play. This added to the beauty of the layout. Once the greens are in normal condition, I will definitely return to play this course.
Great price and good experience
Several blind tee shots, glad we had played there before. Weather was hot, windy for July. Course was in very good shape.
Hidden gem
Nice lauout, beautiful scenery, hard pan fairway, fairway grass too long, uneven putting greens, not so crowded.
Varied terrain
Greens were soft and rolled true. Very fair test even though the wind was over 20 mph most of the day. Very good day and the staff was great and very friendly.
First time to Webb Hill
We enjoyed our outing to Webb Hill. The staff, including the owner, were friendly and eager to provide us with a good experience. This was my grandson's first ever round of golf and he loved it. We'll be back.
Course is in bad shape.
Played here several times, but it's been a year. Greens are in really bad shape. Course does not drain well. Have always liked the course. Hopefully they get it back this summer.
Webb Hill Golf
This coarse is a great country retreat coarse. Good greens and descent fairways.
WOW , What a surprise !
This is a awesome course, it's located out in the middle of no where, but well worth the drive. Everyone is super friendly, from the pro to the owner, they treat you like family, and the course is great. It has a little of every thing ,tight fairways, water, blind shots, it's challenging and a blast to play.

This place was a pretty fun place to play. It was a little more difficult than other courses I've played at but I like the challenge. The greens were a little above average at this winters time. The courses hills make it interesting to play. I would recommend this course to anyone
Tree lined layout is a challenge.
Course plays longer than it's yardage due to elevation changes and doglegs. Greens were very firm and some were very undulating - don't get above the hole on several greens - you are in deep trouble if you do.
The par 3's were 201 - 201 - 203 - 189, the 189 was uphill into the wind - very tough set of "short" holes.
The course location is out in the country - no freeways or city noises - just the birds singing - very relaxing.
I will go back.

@crashhays
They were pretty bumpy the day I was there. I just putted once and then picked up. I would imagine that they will be much better Sunday when you play.
How bad did they roll? I'm playing tomorrow
