The Heron Country Club - Vixen/Heron

About
Previously known as South Essex Golf Club - Vixen/Heron.
South Essex Golf and Country Club lies mainly facing south in the southern sunshine. The panoramic views over the Thames Valley and Kent are truly magnificent. The three courses Hawk, Vixen and Heron, the greens and practice range have been designed with spaciousness and nature in mind and have blended into the established gently rolling landscapes. The beautiful bluebell carpeted woodlands have been used in the layout, undisturbed except for the pleasant walks from the greens to the tees.

Well kept course; friendly staff and great amenities.
The course was extremely well kept and the staff were friendly. We played the Vixen and then the Heron. Pace was good but our only criticism was that when we came off the Vixen and wanted to use the restrooms we were hurried along by staff - they even suggested we got a buggy back up the hill to make it quicker! As there were no ladies loos where the courses merged there was little option for us but to use the main club house. We were then "chased" around the next two holes by the guys behind us!
Good value for money
Good course however no mention of carry only during the winter on Golf Now or website.
