well kept course
turkeyfoot in excellent shape despite days of rain
Review
The course was in great shape. I enjoyed playing and the challenge of the the greens. Although I was disappointed with how many groups were sent off at the same time. Tee times are ment to regulate the start and there were 4 groups waiting to tee off at once.
Great Place to Play
A challenging golf course with rolling terrain and greens, some of the fastest greens you will put on but do roll true. As a first time to play at this course, I was not ready for the speed of the greens. I would suggest this course to anyone, we Teed off at 7:46 am and had no one in front of us , go early this course does get a lot of play at $30 for 18 and a cart the course was backed up when we finished.
Awesome course.
Course is always in great condition, and also offers a challenge. The club house could use some updating.
Pretty course
Pace of play was quite slow 6000 yard 18. Took 6 hours. Greens were extremely firm and on several holes, if you were above the pin, it was a 8-10 ft put back. Full shot with a proV were not holding. Not one I will play again.
Painfully slow
Played at noon on a Saturday and it took 5 1/2 hours!!!! We were a threesome following a FIVE-some! They followed a SLOW foursome. The foursome ended up 3 holes behind the group in front of them. Never once saw a ranger. Will most likely not go back. That is sad because the course is a very good test of golf.
Excellent!
We played Friday at noon and my partner was a few minutes late to the course. Unlike some, the starter was very accommodating and worked us into the flow (without jamming things up).
If there is a public course in northeast Ohio in better shape tee box to green I like to see it. Green's were fast and true; fairways full, rough was a place you didn't want to be. They have made some good improvements the past couple of year, most notably the new tee box on 17; instead of a 120 shot, it's a legit 150-160 hole to a tough green. The hit deal would have been awesome but someone beat me to it. You can bet I won't hesitate to grab it next time.
Beautiful course and surrounding area
We had a great time on a beautiful course. With the Portage Lakes in the background the scenery was magnificent. The only bad part was the greens were being treated. Sand filled most of the Chinese Checker holes. It made the greens unpredictable and 3 putts were had by all. Overall we enjoyed the beautiful Fall day on a beautiful course.
No Rangers on course to keep pace of play moving
The course was great as well as the personnel but there were no rangers on the course to keep pace of play moving. on the 4th hole we had 2 groups waiting to tee off with a group hitting on the green we just got off of.
Great course 1st time playing there.
Slow Play
Starter allowed multiple 5 somes of old men to go out and play. Slowed up play ridiculously. The course is ok. But not good enough to put up with waiting on every shot.
Front nine has 3 par fives
Course was in great shape with tricky and fast greens
Poor Managment
Showed up for a 9 o'clock tee time and was told I would not be able to tee off for at least and hour. We decided to play the middle nine first and then play the first nine. At the turn we were told we would have to wait 2 HOURS to play the front nine so we decided to go play the water 9, grabbed a sausage sandwich and went to play. After getting to the 19th hole a took a bite of my sausage sandwich and had to throw it because it was raw in the middle. The water 9 is short and has some terrible golf holes, that why none play it.
This was not my first time golfing at Turkey foot and I usually expect a little wait but this was ridiculous!! The staff was unapologetic and could care less.
That was the last time I will golf there.

Birthday
It was a good day for golf on my birthday! I enjoyed the golf on my birthday with 4 of my good friends.
Awesome greens
The Greens were awesome, as was the entire course. I was playing with 2 of my friends and one of them made a comment that the fairways are nicer than some of the greens he usually plays. It is a great course!!!
Always a great course.
This course is always in great shape from tee box to greens. Love the new layout on 17 now makes for a interesting shot.
Shotmaker's Course
Par 4's are shorter and ready to be had if you have your putter working. The par 5's are a decent length. The greens are consistent and depending on which side of the hole you are on can be quite frustrating, especially numbers 9 and 13. Pace of play was fair, it could have been better if the 3 generation foursome of grandpa, grandma, son, and granddaughter in front of us, had any golf etiquette at all we could have played in under 3-1/2 hours, as we had to wait before every shot. Player Assistance as they call their marshall was really nothing more than an elderly gentleman out for a leisurely ride in a golf cart.
Country Club conditions
Fairways and greens were fantastic. The tee boxes are better than most greens I've played lately at other courses. Greens were fast and very readable. Been playing Turkeyfoot since 1966....this is the finest I've ever seen it. Kudos to course superintendent and staff!!
Short course
Many short holes. Keep the driver in the bag unless it is a par five
Fun,,great place to play.
Course was in great shape, tees, fairways, and greens all in great shape. Did not play the "water 9, . Course has some long and short holes. interesting!!!. 400+ par 4s and 200+ par 4s.. I played first 9 in just over an hour. They had ladies tee off back nine, waited on every shot after playing 3 balls. Not the fault of course, but I wish there was a way for golf now had a place when you booking to let you know about special conditions for the day, such as cart paths only, ladies day, greens sanded, etc. this course is worth the money, really no complaints at all. A helpful tip, stay below hol, some side and downhill putts are crazy fast and break a ton.
