Nice conditions
We played as an afternoon twosome and the course was pretty much open. We were greatly surprised and pleased to see how well the course drained after an extremely heavy rain overnight. A flood warning was in effect for this area but with the exception of some standing water in a few bunkers, the course was very dry. Greens were very nice and putted smoothly (minimal ball marks) and they displayed subtle breaks as the sun dried the course. Turkeyfoot is a nice mix of long and short holes and is very playable for all golfers.
Not worth it!
I was in town visiting a friend. He had never played Turkeyfoot so we decided to give it a shot via golf now. Well, it only saved us $3 and it would have even been more expensive, if I didn't get free booking fees.
The course was SO crowded and it took 3 hours to play the front 9. The holes are short, so there are some holes where you had to wait for the group ahed to get off the green on a par 4. Made for a VERY long day and it was hard to get in a rhythm. Maybe it would have been better if it wasn't so congested, but either way, I won't be back.
Best day of golf
I had a wonderful day and time, playing Turkey foot. Yes first time and open wham by, it greens , small but fair. It was worth the ride, when there , we're courses nearby.
The place to play if it rains a lot.
Turkeyfoot is a great course to play if there has been a lot of rain because it doesn't get muddy. Also the layout is fun to play, not exceptionally long but the greens are fast and punishing if you are above the hole.
This course has good features and some challenging greens
Played the other day at 10:30 A.M. There were 2 of us and played the first 4 holes with no problems. After that we were stuck behind 3 groups of 4 , which never allowed us to play through. It took almost 4.5 hours to play hurry up and wait golf. Overall the course is nice but You almost have to play as a foursome to go with the rate of play, easily jammed
Not Horrible
I know Akron has had a rough winter, and with that in mind the course was in pretty good shape. The greens we're like a pool table, extremely fast. Played the 18 hole, not the water 9. Nice, short course with some interesting par 5s. Got a great deal on GN. Is it worth the $40ish during peak times? In my opinion, no.
Great place to play
It's early in the season so conditions aren't going to be excellent but the course was already in pretty good shape. This is my favorite course in the Akron area for the value.
Beautiful course
Well maintained, some beautiful sights with the lakes all around. It has a major road running through the middle of the course but it really did not take away from the serenity of the play. There are a few blind shots but nothing too bad. It plays a little longer than the scorecard says. There is no driving range and the practice green is a little small. The pro shop leaves a little to be desired, but overall a very nice place for a round of golf. I'll be back.
Short but sweet
As usual this course was fantastic - a great time for all types of golfers.
Just play somewhere else
Be careful might get hit by a car heading to number one tee and leaving number 9 back to club house. Just go somewhere else not worth wasting your day. Paid for 18 and only played nine all we could take.
Short course - Hilly holes makes it interesting
If you are not a long driver this is a course for you.
Great course for all skill levels
Highly recommended for all players. Course is beautifully maintained and fun to play. Staff is very friendly. Great golfing whether you're playing 9, 18, or all 27 holes.

Very pleasant day of golf.
Everything about the day of golf was great. From the friendly people who worked the course, to the excellent condition of the course there could not be a better day of golf. The greens were in great condition and you had to make good shots to have a chance to score well. Will be back again.
WOW took me by surprise.
A must play course next time I’m going to play all 27 holes the best course I played all year.
This course is in great shape...
Fast greens...great fairways...the course from tee to green was in great shape....well maintained...a fun challenging test...
This course is in excellent shape!
The course is in perfect condition even with the amount of rain our area has had this summer. The greens were very fast and the maintenance staff should be applauded for their fine work!
The course was very busy and it only took 3 1/2 hours to play
18 holes.
Excellent Course
This is one of the most fun places to play in northern Ohio.
The only thing keeping you from a good score is you ! We
had some slow guys in front of us but that isn't the fault of Turkey foot Lake golf course. No one hassles you here as some of the Metro courses with a thousand rangers do. It is a beautiful course to play. We will be back.
In the Heart of Pleasure Land
Turkeyfoot has been around for decades and the course has aged extremely well. Part of the reason is that the course has a sandy base and drains well. Also, management continues to make nice little tweaks like building a new back tee area on No. 17 which brings the greenside bunker more into play. The greens are firm and putt well, but expect your ball to roll out on approach shots. The course is fair and has a good variety of hole types. If you want a casual nine, play the water nine and walk. It's always uncrowded and has some great views. A nice beauty especially from the championship tees.
