Odd course!
If you like quirky holes this is a must. Fun course with good greens. The rest is dry!
Great course for a beginner like me
All golfers were friendly and polite, course was maintained to a good standard and would recommend
Fantastic for the price. I used one of the special Golf Now on the say deals.
Millionaires golf there was hardly anyone on the course which I appreciated as I got round in 2.5 hours as a single. For a municipal course I was pleasantly surprised, it was better than expected. I didn’t go in any bunkers so can’t comment. Green staff were working on course so daily maintenance was ongoing. Preferred it to another course that I played on the island.
Staff in pro shop very friendly.
Course was interesting enough for a practice round. Played well, so course suited me and you seem to enjoy course more when you play well. That said won’t play a second time, unless it’s at the reduced price again. it was a one and done as trying to play all courses on the Island.
Hilly, windy and quiet!
Great value round of golf. Course has been altered slightly due to drainage issues but that was explained before we started. Found a few boggy areas (not on the fairway only in the rough). A windy day and challenging hilly course.
A good course in the summer
There were temporary tee boxes on the 1st, 2nd, 4th, 15th, 17th and 18th reducing some par 4s to par 3. There was no-one in the pro-shop or club house to be able to buy basics such as a drink or golf tees. If they sort the drainage out for the winter it will be a great course to play all year long. I would recommend booking on golf now rather than direct with the club as it will be much cheaper.
Good 18 holes
Played again, getting better more I play at douglas golf course, greens kept well, fairways kept up to, grass cutting going on, great place to play.
Greens are spot on
1st time I've played here, taken golf back up after a long lay off, so I wasn't in a rush, getting used to where the holes were, didn't feel any pressure, from any players in front or behind me. Great course we'll kept will definitely be back, can't wait.
Douglas golf course
Poor fairways, overgrown tee boxes, disgusting bunkers with grass growing in the bunker material and greens, that from a distance looked very good, on closer inspection were barely fair. We would not entertain another visit to this course even if someone else paid for us. Thankfully we got a hot deal of £17.50 each and that was too much for the state of the course.
