Greens are a lot of sand and very difficult putting

My favorite greens in the El Paso, Las Cruces area. So I went back the next week and they had just been plugged. Oh no! But hey were still so true I ended up enjoying even the putting. Lush fairways tthroughout with lots of rolling movement to them.

The golf course was not good. The fairways was good but green was sanded so the golf ball didn’t roll well.

The back nine made a hole so We turned the front nine twice. It was wasted my time

All the course renovations and work they’re doing is really starting to show and pay dividends. Bunkers are finally starting to be bunkers again. The greens were absolutely pristine and immaculate. Shame they have to be punched in a couple weeks.

Excellent green conditions but some areas need repairs

Glad to see the improvements going on, on the course, especially the bunkers . They are investing quite a lot to make a good course even better. They are also building a great large pro-shop restaurant now , looks like will be special.

First time playing Red Hawk. Very nice layout with a great variety of golf challenges. Length, water, sand all come into play. If I had a complaint, it would be the bunkers. The sand is hard and, in places, packed. Other than that, a really enjoyable round.

My son and I played it 1st time there. Course was good and going thru some renovations, eg fairways and bunkers but overall was in good shape.

Weather was terrible, cold and windy up to 45+mph winds made course play a bit more diffcult but in our view was also very fun!

Good to see the work being done on the course to improve and remove some off the bad sand bunkers. Also noticed replacing lots of turf..Looking forward to the completion and also noticed start on the new pro shop facility, this will be a great addition

Beautiful links style course. Staff are making major improvements to fairways, tee boxes and bunkers. Greens are in great shape and run true. Not a lot of public golf courses in Las Cruces and this is by far the best.

Don’t play this course at this time unless the lower their prices 75$ to play a course under serious construction is a total rip off !!! The sad part is when we made reservations they never informed us the course is under serious construction rip, the whole course is terrible, so as I went in to ask for a 1/2 price refund due to the serious construction going on they offered 9 hole rain check only to be used in 60 days . I informed them that their course will not be done in 60 days due to how serious the construction was , so after talking to Matthew the shop pro I said he could keep the nine hole rain check and let him know I’ll send royal jones a line or two . YOU KNOW THE SAD PART IS THEY WONT TELL YOU WHEN YOU MAKE TEE TIME THAT THE COURSE IS UNDER SERIOUS CONSTRUCTION… DONT GET ME WRONG THIS COURSE WAS ONE OF THE BEST COURSES TO PLAY BUT NOW ITS WORTHLESS…. We had reservations for two tee time that day February 16th at 1020am and1030 AM.. only to be disappointed on the condition of the course , no sand in sand traps , tractors ruts all over the course no sign of relief in damaged areas which was almost every hole big patches of grass all over greens this course is the worst course in New Mexico at this time save your money and play a different course twice for the price of one game at RED HAWK GOLF COURSE UNDER MUCH BETTER CONDITIONS… I’ve played this course since it open about 7 years ago and lovers the course it’s a shame their H.R Handel the problem so badly!!!!! I hope this complaint reaches the owner royal jones to help make things better ? I regret I didn’t take pictures of such a serious construction job going on!!!
