Red Hawk Golf Club

They are reconstructing the sand traps so some have been done, they play differently.

The greens are very good except for the players not fixing their divots. That's not the courses fault just the mentality of the newer players

Played Red Hawk in cooler conditions w/ light breeze. Great desert layout w/ awesome bunkering and challenging greens. No houses around course for now, but new subdivisions nearby. Clubhouse under construction. Tee boxes acceptable; fairways and bunkers are winter rules (preferred lies) condition, but lots of improvement work underway.

Played on a busy Saturday afternoon after a 1hr frost delay so course was jammed 5-1/2 hr round, but marshalling present and given the challenges handled ok.

Greens a little slow and bumpy.

Well worth playing just don't expect peak summer conditions.

The course is over 5600 yards from the forward tees. It's not much fun for the average golfer to play a course that long. The course has definite possibilities but it was probably opened too soon.

The bunkers are going thru a makeover and getting better

Course is once again very playable, but bunkers will continue to be the eyesore for months ahead.

There were several bad fairways on the RedHawk golf course and the green was not bad. It was cold weather so things were going smoothly.

Friendly staff. Starter was nice. Challenging course surrounded by foothills and mountains. Greens run true. Bunkers a bit rough on some holes but cart worked great and had a good time!

The course had a frost delay for an hour, but the staffe were able to get us off 30 minutes earlier!

The bunkers are undergoing renovations, otherwise 5 stars all around.

Used to play this course regularly until the management decided to cancel the ladies league, military discounts, etc. Went back after long absence to give it another chance and the course is in really rough shape. Many areas of ground under repair, sand traps are dirt and stones and the pace of play was terrible for a Thursday afternoon. Not worth the money.

because of conditions, i stayed away for over 3 months. but all the while i heard major activities were taking place, like justifiably filling in lots if bunkers… that still hasn’t happened. still the course played very well but bunkers remain big taboo.

Me and my Cousins play this course whenever we can. one of our favorite courses in the southern NM area. enjoy it the most in the fall and spring. Fun and challenging course.
